You can’t keep Haley and Butler after this

The 4th & long TD's only showcased the talent wasted by Tomlin & Haley.
4th & short they call an outside run on a Defense known for quick pursuit?
What happened to Rosie Nix?
The only time I saw him in the game was on Special Teams! Another waste of talent, was it in the game plan to eliminate the FB?
WTF?

I thought Rosie was in there on that last 4 and 1 outside run. Ol' Tequila Todd employing a little deception ... Put the FB in and act like it's going to be a power run and ... sweep it to the outside. Worked out well, didn't it Todster?

Butler and Haley both need to go.

I really expect Haley to be gone within the next 10 minutes. Ben doesn't want him around, his calls today were horrific .... I think the Rooney family has seen enough.

Butler should go too, but i don't see that happening.

Munch as OC and DelRio as DC??? One can only hope.

Fixed to more accurately reflect our hopes and dreams.

Rooneys too scared to fire Tomlin, and we all know why
So...if they are interested in winning a SB again:
Fire Haley
Fire Butler
Fire Muncek
Fire Porter and Lake
Cut Mitchell
Say goodbye to Ben, thanks for your service, but we need a QB that won't give the other team points on a consistent basis
Fire Colbert, need a GM that can find and sign talent...ie secondary, Online, Dline
Time to rebuild from the ground up, already have core talented players needing direction, not fancy press conf. words or blank stares across the field

If they keep Haley...I'll be a Browns fan next year.

MANY here will be ******* glad to hold you to that...............................!!!!!!!!!!!

Yea, 4 and short so pitch the ball back 8yards off the line of scrimmage and run it.................****

Pitch the ball back 7 yards to a guy that isn't all that fast. My goodness

There is no real need to rebuild... they need to quit getting safeties that hit and get sure tackling playmakers there... they need to quit using linebackers to cover wrs when no one is blitzing... they need to get an O C that isn't playing lay up golf and has a cohesive plan of attack...
The head coach won't be fired but he has to be told to get these guys under control.. cut down the assholery

1. Tomlin isnt going anywhere.

2. Haley- Although I didnt like the 4th down calls, on one Ben had an easier throw he either didnt see or chose against. The offense hung 42 on what was the second highest scoring defense if i temember all the hype talk right.

3. Butler- Obviously they had a game plan to open we were not prepared for. Our defense was absolutely atrocious. I know its hard to replace a Shazier, but to score 42 at home and lose, while being manhandled getting no turnovers or sacks. Unacceptable.

Tomlin isn't going to be fired so expect more roller coaster wins and losses and exasperating playoff losses to lesser teams, its what happens when you are not in control and have the team buttoned up and on a steady roll. Too much drama, too many prima donnas and no leadership from the top on down.

Is there a reason to keep Tomlin? His best stuff was early with a loaded Cowher team.

Butler for sure.... Your defense can’t play the way they did in THIS game.... at HOME.... against THAT offense.... and expect to keep your job. I believe the Jags scored one touchdown in the last two weeks, come into YOUR HOUSE for a PLAYOFF GAME.... and hang 38 on your defense. He shouldn’t be fired because they lost.... it’s how they lost. I’ve been worried about this game even before I knew who we’d be playing because of all the New England talk... like it was a forgone conclusion that we’d be playing them. This team never beats anybody convincingly, so how they could possibly be so sure they’d be playing the Patriots again is beyond me, but it sure looks like that’s exactly what they did.

But, but doesn't Tomlin coach from his gut? He said so along with looking forward to the matchup in Foxboro?
LOL Tomlin, king of the AFCN and that is all.
Future HOFer Ben Roethlisberger throws a playoff record 462 yards surrounded by Pro Bowl linemen and receivers and he calls for an onside kick with 2:30 plus left in the game. Some "gut feeling", better go see a gastroenterologist coach.
So you thought putting the game in the hands of the defense we saw today was the better option? If so you need your head examined.... either that or you watched a different game than I did. Of course in hindsight that would’ve been the better choice, but up to that point the defense couldn’t stop a decent high school offense.

By attempting an onside kick which we haven't recovered one since his first year, 2007, he put the entire game strictly on the defenses's hands and they gave up the almost guaranteed FG on a failed onside kick thus making it an insurmountable 2 score game.

The defense had a better chance of stopping them than the 3 or 4 % success rate of an onside kick, football 101.

If you are going to try the desperation onsides kick you make sure it goes 10 yards... that penalty was a killer on that... it wasn't as bad a call as the first fourth down attempt though

Want to bet?

The Bills have hired Alabama OC Brian Daboll to run their offense. I like the move; the NFL is full of too many retread assistants who move from team to team.

To that end, I'd like to see the Steelers look at Kevin Sumlin for OC. He was innovative at Oklahoma, Houston and Texas A&M, by all accounts the players liked him...and he would know not to run a pitchout when all you need is a yard.
