According to an unnamed beat writer who works for a local, unnamed newspaper, it's a leg injury of some sort.Soft tissue? Where?
Your great ability is your availability.
Everything after that means nothing until you are "available".
Football is still a collision sport and I mostly think guys that are bigger and stronger hold up better to collisions that guys that are smaller and weaker.
I for one wouldn't mind seeing the guy in pads at some point
The Rats tried that and had a week of OTAs taken away, fined Harbitch and the team. No pads til minicamp I do believe
That's what I thought you meant. You have to go back to college tape to see what this kid even looks like in pads and a helmet. Going back to that tape, you can see what the Steelers were so enamored with. I couldn't believe they drafted Golson in the 2nd round till I really started looking at his tape. His aggressiveness, plays on the ball, short area quickness, good hands et al. But damn, put it on the field already!!which i completely understand. i'm certainly not pushing for them to do something like that. i just would like to see what we've got at some point
Golson, who played football and baseball at Mississippi, had a long history with shoulder problems in college. That's what I thought you meant. “I kind of always had shoulder issues a little bit,” he said.
As a senior, the shoulder became more problematic and persisted a year ago at organized team activities (OTAs) and minicamp with the Steelers. The decision was made before training camp that season-ending surgery was the only option.
Paper that has no name. They say that he's fine though
