Why does it seem like everyone has soured on JuJu?

It will be a bit of a disaster if the Steelers can't retain a majority of the 2017 draft class (Watt, JuJu, Conner, Sutton). Best draft class in YEARS.

I agree 448, I'm with ya. I feel the Steelers will do there part to make an attempt.

Could be Conner's last year with the STEELERS. If that 3-6 game injury bug shows up I'd be pretty sure he isn't renued. I like James Conner a lot and his story is the BEST but let's see what the season brings.

**** what Bouchette and Madden think. we waited 4 years to get a year like Dupree gave us ju started hot and only had a bad year due to a injured foot terrible qb play. here is my list of guys to sacrifice a extension for juju Villinueva Pouncey, hopefully we see improvement from Grey and Doctson as being to be swing OL that can learn to play C as well.
To me Wis is a 1 yr insurance signing if he can beat out Doctson then be it I have full confidence from the scouting reports that Doctson could be a starter by mid season.
It will all depend on ben's shoulder if we want to run more Doctson could be pushed to start as I think Wis would be better for pass protection and our quick passing attack as he did play in the fastest offence last year. I don't sacrifice Haden until I see drop off in production or him unable to shut down speedsters, he is a fabulous technician

Madden had been rather spot on. I didn’t like him at first but find him insightful.

Ju-ju did crap last year. When healthy he fumbled the ball that lead to defeats and was dinged up.

If he wants to be paid like a top 15 receiver, he needs 1,500 yards and 10 td’s this season. Something close to that. Otherwise sign elsewhere we’ll take a comp pick.

The Claypool pick which I liked says something about Washington being a bad 2nd round pick ( called that one )and ju-ju shrinking.

It was the Sports Illustrated Cover curse. For whatever reason, when Brown left and JuJu got on the cover of Sports Illustrated as a "Millennial Man" showing him playing video games, things started to go downhill.

I know the QB play was bad, but it wasn't just all their fault. The O-line didn't pay as well. The running game was a lot worse. And the receivers all played poorly, included Smith-Shuster.

It's optimism time in the NFL off-season. I get it. This time frame from April to July makes every fan base happy. Draft picks will all work out. No one is injured. And groups that played well, continue to be great and groups that underperformed have been "fixed".

We'll see how things work out. This team needs to work HARD. And there are a lot of players that need to do better on offense and a lot of defenders that need to maintain their intensity. Tomlin has a lot to do.

I worry about the work ethic this off-season. I think it will be too easy for offensive players to just say "Roethlisberger is back and will fix things" and I think it will be too easy for our defensive players to think "this year will be like last year" (particularly with turnovers and sacks). Every fiber of this coaching staff have to fight against those thoughts in our players. I even worry TOMLIN has to fight against those thoughts.

If we can do that, there's an opportunity. But if we just think it will happen, I think things could stay very status quo and regress into a mediocre season (8-8, 9-7 or such).

6.3 yards 6 point ****** 3 that is the average per pass the team had without a Quality QB. Hell Samuels had 7 yards per pass. The only reason Juju had 13 yards per reception is because he averaged 5 yards after the catch. It’s hard to achieve anything in a season when you only play 12 games and the QB won’t throw it more than 6 yards beyond the line of scrimmage. As previously said by some of the more intelligent posters here everything changes with Big Ben back and the addition of Ebron and Deadpool! Why do people continue to say Ben had a “shoulder injury” last time I checked it’s his elbow aka tommy John surgery. https://sportsinjurypredictor.com/player/ben-roethlisberger/2639

I think the talking heads are running out of things to talk about. JuJu is the closest thing to a fan favorite on offense.

You could be closest to the truth, since he's really our ONLY offensive star other than Ben

Well one thing he did not have Big Ben to throw from in 2019. Due to #7 being injured. Just hope that both can get on the same page.
