Why does it seem like everyone has soured on JuJu?

Well, I for one, because I don't have to pay the bills, hope they can find a way of keeping him, provided he bounces back this year.

Steelers have to know that character counts for something.

Juju is a good receiver. Not great. Maybe last year was a bad year because of his turf toe-preventing him from making sharp cuts in his route running. I also felt he was a product of AB drawing double coverage from upper tier CBs. Maybe this year will be different with a Ben at the helm and time to heal that turf toe. If I were GM- I would offer him a fair 4 year contract. If he takes it great. If not-he can get on with his life's work.

I think its fair to say JuJu was playing with well below par QB play last season, also injuries slowed him down.
Its also fair to say he fumbled away the 2018 season and has some big chokes in the biggest moments.

He has yet to prove he is a #1 WR, or even a solid WR without AB across the field from him.
This will be a pivotal year for both him and Conner, they Both need to prove they can be productive as the #1's.
I think JuJu bounces back, but I think production wise he never reaches where he was with AB taking the coverage.

Nice way to take a swipe at Dupree....

lol, it's not a swipe, it's true, the point was JuJu has one down season and there's alot ready to write him off, Dupree had a few down seasons, some with injury, like Juju last year.

When you say the man did next to nothing for 4 seasons, that's a swipe. Sorry he doesn't fit the mold for you.

Juju played hurt from week 1 last week with I want to say turf toe and also had ****** QBs. This is a prove it year for him, kind of like how Dupree made all you dumb ***** eat your words about him. If only they paid him next to nothing, maybe then you would get off his dick.

I'm just curious as to what fair is, top 10 WR money, top 20 WR money ? 4years 32million & outa that 21mil guaranteed......?

LOL, if anyone is on his dick it's you, as soon as anyone mentions him without blowing sunshine up his *** you're there to talk him up.
He was the 22nd overall pick he had 4 sacks, 4 sacks, 6 sacks, 5.5 sacks for the 22nd overall pick that's not doing much. You want to say he was used in coverage alot, he has 9 PD's in 5 seasons, he had 2 career FF before this season; QB hits, his first 4 years combined equal what Watt had this season. For the 22nd overall pick, that is not doing much.

That’s a great question. Right now in my opinion- he’s in the top 20 tier. I like Juju. I just don’t think he’s a receiver I would count on as my number 1. This season could change that

JuJu is an excellent receiver who was injured most of last year and tried to play through it. He had 3 different QBs (if you count Big Ben) during the season. He did not have AB to siphon off double coverage.

What do you want?

I have a funny feeling that Claypoole and Ebon on the field with JuJu this year will make him VERY dangerous. Especially with Big Ben back.

Why do I say this? Claypoole and Ebon are BIG, tall receivers that can burn you. JuJu is no midget either. Last year with the receiving corp we had, the best CB or safety, the biggest and most physical would line up off of JuJu.

Try that this year with Claypoole and Ebon on the field with JuJu and Ben will have a field day.

I'd offer him a 12,5M avg 4 year deal, half guaranteed. That will be quite cheap in a few seasons with the cap going up. You will have DJ and Deadpool in cheap contracts for most of those years so there will be balance in costs per position

Agree that would be a nice starting point .... but if he has a decent season 80 rec 1000+ yards 7+ Tds it will go up from there....

He is not in Hopkins, Thomas or Jones range but he should come in somewhere between the top 10 to 25 salary range

This is spot on with my opinion. I'm not sour on JSS. Again- I do like Juju. He's great for the younger fans/kids. A positive story for your organization. I just think he is a complimentary number 2 receiver in the league. Maybe this year he'll show up and show that he is truly 'lit'. No matter what happens to him after this year-his take out of Burfict will always be legend.

Does seem like ppl have soured on him but all things considered if go anywhere this year he’ll have to be a position where he’s leading us and I think he will. Claypool will be exactly what we drafted: a red zone monster. We’ve need a guy like him for over a decade we finally got him. All the really good teams have proven you must be able to tear up those underneath zones in front of the safeties with either midget speed guys or h-back guys. It’s been a huge gap in our offense. Claypool needs lots of work on his game but he’s guy that when the balls in the air and it’s mono n mono he’s gonna come down with it... just like great rebounders are born so are are big playmakers. Bens going to love this guy he’s never going to back down on those jump balls he’ll really fight for it. Goooo steelerrrssss!!!

If Claypool can surpass poison frog boy's rookie year (10games / 8 TDs on 28 receptions) that would be fantastic as long as Claypool stays away from the poison......

JuJu fell off pretty far from his past performances this last season, so I can understand why people are on the fence -- but then factor in the QBs, the loss of Darryl Drake & his injuries plaguing him for the year.

I'm sure others don't appreciate all the social media and video game BS, but the guy lays it all out on the field every Sunday. I'm definitely looking forward to a bounce back year for JuJu.

I just do not understand why people are even on the fence about him.

His first two season's in the league were better than Brown's or Wallace's.

One season where he was hurt and had bad QB play does not offset what he showed his first two season.

He reminds me a lot of Yancey Thigpen. Really similar body type and skill set.

Any true Steeler fan is high on him.

The media is souring on him. It’s easy to hate on the B&G.
Media always has, always will. The Steelers are finally getting pieces together for a generational roster, so anything to put a wrench in that machine

Bouchette thinks JuJu won't be around after this season.

We had alot of patience and watch Dupree do next to nothing for 4 seasons, kept him for year 5, and franchised him, now alot of people want him signed long term.

JuJu who was the youngest WR ever to get to 2500 yards, his first two seasons were very good, then last year with no Ben, and a couple injuries to himself, and it seems alot are ready to run him out of town. Why?

I don't think they soured on him, he deserves another chance to see what he can do with Ben back. I think they are saying that because he will be demanding alot of $$$ after this season. We have to sign TJ Watt first.

If JuJu has a good year I dont think they will let him walk and I would be pretty pissed if they did. JuJu has had some major mistakes at horrible times, but hopefully that is just coincidence and not him choking. I believe this season will be make or break for him. If he has another down season we will probably offer him something low, but im sure some other team will take a big gamble on him. Hopefully him and Ben will both be in the running for comeback player of the year.

It will be a bit of a disaster if the Steelers can't retain a majority of the 2017 draft class (Watt, JuJu, Conner, Sutton). Best draft class in YEARS.
