You really saw his inflated self-opinion several years ago when he took such great umbrage to being linked to the USC job as if expectations to win in the postseason were beneath a head coach of his tenure.

Problem with this group is they haven’t backed up any bragging in a long, long time…just a bunch of empty words.

On the radio here today they were talking about JP2 and how he was talking this week about how the rest of the AFC North better be ready for them... no clue if it is true. Hopefully just radio talk

Tomlin wins every offseason and the team really gets full of themselves especially on defense it seems following suit
 
A lot of much ado about nothing in this thread. Saw a Mina Kimes interview with Julian Love (Seahawks safety) the other day and it was all he could to hype up his teammates and spread accolades. This is absolutely no different. I'm not sure what you want them to say.

This goes all the way back Lee Flowers but at least they did back it up sometimes. Or maybe even back to '94.

Who was the marginal, idiot free safety that was calling out Tommy boy back in the day? Then Brady just carved him up…beat him repeatedly like a rented mule. Fed him a healthy plate of crow.

I’m blanking on his name right now, cuz well…idiots are easy to forget.

I never mind a little confidence, just as long as that is what it is. More than that they better be backing up whatever they spew with their on field performance. No shocker that fans would rather their actions do the talking coming off an embarrassing collapse. Everything becomes more digestible if the food they are eating leaves a great taste in one’s mouth. No confusing that.

The one that I do not like the most is JP2 warning the rest of the North that they better be ready. kinda weird right?
The last time Joey was on the field with a team in the North he was embarrassed like the rest of the team.
But they should deny facts and talk themselves up. in August. Because you know.

this is the best defense I have ever seen. doubt they lose a single game. i would think 8-9 shutouts. man now I feel better
