Who knows anything about Houston

Talk that Obrien might be fired and Vrabel take over as HC. That is funny. Vrabel sucks as DC. Who thinks he would be a good HC?

Vrabel. That's AWESOME!

Cool feel-good story right there. Former middle-talent player. Cut by a team or two and then goes on to become a coach, then a DC, and possibly a HC.

That's TV gold baby.

double Hopkins with Burns and Mitchell and have Haden on Fuller. they cant beat us with yates and miller

...There is talk about Obrien getting fired. The fans are upset.

To clarify, fans aren't upset because O'Brien might be fired.

The fans are upset, and many want him fired.

Last week I didn't think he was on shaky ground. But I do now.

Losing Watson wasn't his fault. But the feeling is that his "backup plan" at QB, Tom Savage, was really no plan to speak of.

And for being billed as a quarterback guru, O'Brien has been anything but. Their carousel at QB the past few years has been an embarrassment.

What's worse, you have one of them, Case Keenum of the Vikings, go on not only to be serviceable, but solid.

Add it all up and O'Brien could go. But hardcare fans will tell you that GM Rick Smith deserves to fired more than O'Brien.

I'd like to see Martavis continue to progress. This may be a great week for him. He's jumped from essentially #3 to #1 in terms of the guy they need to be "The Man."

I hope he responds.

Me too. He'll never have the instincts of AB or even JuJu but it's hard to beat that dude when he hits the gas AND catches the ball on those sideline blasts and crossing routes.

He's just got such a fluid lope. When he gets running it's a thing of beauty.

All I know about Houston is that they have this elevated hwy runnin' thru the city that will get your sorry *** runned over if you ain't goin' 30 mph over the speed limit .Just a bit south you can git an oil bath just walkin' along the beach. Oh yeah, there's great fishin' about 4 hrs out on the gulf among the oil derricks.

I always hope our players play their best but keep in mind JuJu isn't coming off some 1 year suspension and he is UP TO game speed. HIs 1 week break allowed that HAMMY thingy to be less of a thingy.
Yes Martavious needs top step up but reality is he will have JuJu to help along the way and also is still big competition, Slot or WR

Don't forget how he became a great player once he was given the plays in advance...................!!!!

I still see Ju Ju as an Anquan Boldin kind of guy, which by the way I see as AWESOME!

But I don't see him as a "game breaker" in an of himself. I think he can be that physical *** kicking guy who can give you that catch you gotta have. And yes, I know he's had 2 HUGE catch and runs. But I still can't quite see him as that guy. Maybe it's just me.

On the other hand I keep waiting for Byrant to, you know, put that complete game together and it hasn't quite happened yet although last week I think he was on his way to being the difference maker until Brown got hurt and his snaps were seriously limited after that.

Similar to how people viewed Hines early in his career.

O'Brien is not the GM. He's the one who needs to go. You could see when they were on Hard Knocks that they disagreed and that Smith had the final say. That was back when they were discussing final roster moves. O'Brien liked on guy, Smith another and it was Smith's guy who made the team.

I don't think O'Brien was on board with Osweiler or he would not have benched him.

They would be crazy to fire O'Brien. But the interesting twist is could that owner, who was basically labeled a racist for his "inmates run the prison" comment, actually fire the black GM this year? Maybe they will fire O'Brien just to get cover for firing Smith.

I see JuJu as more of a Larry Fitzgerald guy. He's not as bulky as Anquan and is more nimble. He doesn't have Larry's height but he has great hands, physicality and will improve immensely over the next 2 or 3 seasons.

They should fire both of them and start all over.

Rookie year

Anquan Boldin
6'1 220
101 catches 1377 yards
8 TDs

Larry Fitzgerald
6'3 218
58 catches 780 yards
8 TDs

JuJu Smith-Schuster
6'1 215
43 catches 699 yards (2 games to go)
5 TDs

Just win at Houston, home to Cleveland...

Face Jags in playoffs, go to NE.

Easier said than done, but i think will play out.

I hope O'Brien doesn't get fired. He'd probably be HC in Cincy about 10 minutes after they interviewed a minority candidate.

I hope he gets hired in Cinci. He is as dumb as a rock. He would be easy to beat. But we know Tomlin will struggle.

When drafted, I thought JuJu was more like Bolden. Watching him on the field, he is more like a faster, taller Hines Ward.

Anyone thinking this will be anything less than a heart stopping emotional train wreck is kidding themselves. The Steelers playing down to poor competition on the road has been a staple of the Tomlin era. Period.

so, Boz will win it with :00 on the clock? Can't disagree with you there!
