Who is going to be the right tackle to start the season?

Holy **** Steve :pound:

If we can't laugh at ourselves, who can we laugh at?

Reports were it was a move to be closer to family.

Is that similar to the Ariens retirement Protocall in saying one thing and actually being another......... ?

I'll go there I guess. While this could absolutely be the case, why didn't Munchak just move there earlier then? From everything I remember, his family lived there for quite a while. If that's not accurate, someone please correct me on it.

I think while Munchak loved his players, there was a little something going on behind the curtains that soured him a bit. I can't cite anything concrete in particular, but I just got that impression (yeah, call me Coach Jr.). Hear me out though. You've got a Hall of Fame former player and HC that players absolutely love--up against a former college WR, that by all accounts, the players also seem to love.

There may have been a little friction there and going by some of Tomlin's past decisions and ego (from my point of view, settle down), there may have been a little disagreement on who was (or potentially) captain of the ship.

Don't hate me Steeler Nation for posing a potential scenario.
Anything is obviously possible. So why didn't he move there earlier. Absence makes the heart grow fonder? Contract is up so easier to move on? Some of both or neither. We can spitball back n forth as long as cooch stands in the middle.

https://www.denverpost.com/2019/01/18/mike-munchak-family-denver-broncos/

The Broncos’ new offensive line coach told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette on Tuesday that “it was a family decision all the way” in his decision to leave Pittsburgh and join Denver’s coaching staff. Munchak’s daughter Alex and her husband live in the Mile High City, and last March she gave birth to a daughter, Emilia.

I don't know. I saw Munchak take a UFA player who was paying to go to regional combines and in one year he made him a starter. He took a line that was perennially bitched about and made them a top 5 unit. He was able to do that with a 4th round Gerald Hawkins and a 3rd round Chuks Okorafor which he barely coached. So tell me one other position coach in the Tomlin era with that success. They should have gave Munchak a title promotion and more cash. But my guess is that the got tired of the Tomlin show. (opinion)

Agree, Munchak was our best coach and got tired of Tomlin. Under Munchak's tutelage mediocre players got large contracts in free agency. The OL is about a year away from needing major work. Just watch and you'll see. And if Fieler has to be moved back to Right Tackle, mark that up for more coaching stupidity.

Got that Steve A? No need to tell you how often I am right. The only other thing to say is if Tomlin cannot make the playoffs for the third year in a row with a 7th playoff spot added, he needs to move in to Slashsteel's trailer and coach the Browns DB's.

Damn it Coach. Talk on the field Bro. You of all people gotta realize, you cannot come in here with average takes, your takes are rusty. Your roster spot is secure for now, only because of your past performance. But don't think for a minute you are above the waiver wire. Give me 10 laps & hit the shower....

You cannot speak to Coach Stupidity. You're also delusional, pretending and making up scenarios in your mind that Munchak got tired of Tomlin. See my above post. Munchak was a good coach, without doubt. But you need to start taking your Ambien about 8pm, your bedtime, instead of 5:30pm.

Banner ran alot with the first team yesterday or Friday I heard, also sounds like Watt handled him pretty easily, as he's done to Chukes

Chukes has a groin so wouldn't read too much into Banner's increased reps. Hard to gage him against Watt who I consider an elite pass rusher. But reps should still benefit. But with Chukes day to day probably not significantly giving him an advantage.

Munchak moved because he was fed up with Tomlin, or because his daughter in Denver was starting a family and just had his first grandchild there? I mean why take Munchak's word for it when we have your unbiased conspiracies to go off of...

Do you have a total lack of self awareness? Do you have any idea why you annoy the **** out of some people? If you said things like this in jest or with a hint even of self deprecation it might be totally different but you don't.

I'm not putting either guy down because Watt is handing them their ***, just stating what I heard. I'm glad they both have to face Watt all training camp, they won't face a Watt all season after that, should seem easy 😉

Well that would make a lot of sense, a new baby granddaughter. Just glad we didn't lose an incredible coach for any other reason.

Why yes, yes he does.
