Word around the league is Whiz is a stubborn assed coach...instead of devising schemes to fit players strengths, he opts to stick to HIS scheme and force players to adapt. It doesn't work unless you purposely draft every skill position suited for your scheme. Aint nobody got time fuh dat !!!!

They are pro athletes they should be able to adapt to anything scheme wise. The NFL has the best of the best. Its not cause of scheme. Its cause guys can play. Now if they are too lazy and are stubborn to go through the small things such as the playbook, diet, teammate familiarity then yes

No one has seen or heard from Grimm since Dec 2012 when he was canned along with Whiz by the Cardinal front office....nowhere to be found.

Seems to be retired, still itching to get back into coaching but nothing's come his way.

“You want me to put my name up there, then let me hire the coaches that I want and do stuff like that, and then we’ll roll from there,” Grimm said. “So I’m gonna wait and see. I’m 55, I’ve got my players’ pension, I’m enjoying life. I don’t need a lot. A couple of cold beers, see the guys, a sandwich, whatever — I’m good to go.”

For some reason the Rooney's did not want Whiz as HC even before they hired Tomlin. Neither of us knows that reason but in retrospect it looks pretty good.

Your answer is easy really. Clan Rhuneh simply asked outgoing coach Bill Cowher.

Rivera was their first Rooney Rule compliant interview. After that, they weren't required to interview Tomlin or any other minority.
