Whiz Is Available

The Titans are still run by the Adams family.

And this generation is probably more screwed up than the late Bud-meister.

I'm sure the person now in charge, Amy Adams Strunk (I'd change my last name), is a football whiz (so to speak)

I think Whiz was a very effective OC. I honestly think he deserved better in both HC shots as well...... The Cards screwed a lot of contracts up after the super bowl run... it handcuffed Whiz after a couple years... and the Titans have been Meddling with coaching the past decade or so... seriously thjink about it...

I just noticed from the article that Dick's defense is ranked 5th in the league.
 
Whiz probably didn't get a fair shake on both ends. He had Kurt Warner bring him to a super bowl which he almost won then has to go to Matt Leinart and a slew of craptastic QB's after. He gets the job in Tennessee to have Locker be your QB and then retire on him and now has a rookie who has done a nice job developing so far and is canned half way thru the season.
 
The Titans problems go much deeper than the coaching staff. The ownership is terrible. They should have stuck with Jeff Fisher. Fisher has made good progress in turning the Rams around. At this point they are a QB away from being a top level team.

Mortensen said this afternoon that ownership/management is "dysfunctional" and that, for the sake of the players and fans, they should sell.

Moving from Houston was stupid...It was due to the hatred between a stubborn owner and stubborn mayor

And the team's bad karma has stayed behind and enveloped the Texans (who have two playoff wins in 14 seasons).

in Yards per game. 14th in points per game. 24th in Red Zone %.

They are 2nd in Interception Rate (I assume means # interceptions/opp pass play) and 4th in Sack Rate.

The Cardinals are already Steelers West so I had to come up with something else.

Yep, Fisher has done a nice job turning the Rams into the Titans. He's a mediocre coach with mediocre teams.
 
The Colts just fired their OC, maybe Whiz will send a resume.
 
Man.....I wish I could go back and pull up posts from some folks about whom they wanted as head coach for this team...

Names like Gruden, Schiano, Whiz, Harbaugh, O'Brien, Pagano, Rexy......

Ive said before....if you ran your franchise based on fan input you'd amount to the caliber of a franchise like the Browns and now the Bears. Fans want coaching changes after each loss.

Tomlin deffinately has his defects, but there are by far worse coaches out there. Tomlin also has his stregnths, but there are also better coaches out there. Tomlin is what he is, like it or lump it. Do I wish he could make better clock management decisions, HELL yes, but what about the discipline of the team, seems he has that very well under raps. Add his stregnths, then factor in his weaknesses and you have a decent coach, overall. Like said, who do you replace him with????? Hindsight definately says, NOT Wiz.

Ben didn't play in all 8 games, and neither has Mariota. Let's also not forget how HORRIBLE the AFC south is right now. Whiz may not be the lone reason the Titans are 1-6, but he was a big part of it. People like to point that he took the Cardinals to the Super Bowl, but they forget that they were 9-7 that year. They started the year at 7-3. 10-6 was his best record and only his second WINNING season. He's had two 8-8 seasons and three (and a half) losing seasons. His teams have consistently looked horrible on both sides of the ball, never really had an identity on offense. There's a pattern that follows him around, and it's a losing pattern. He should not be a head coach.

Word around the league is Whiz is a stubborn assed coach...instead of devising schemes to fit players strengths, he opts to stick to HIS scheme and force players to adapt. It doesn't work unless you purposely draft every skill position suited for your scheme. Aint nobody got time fuh dat !!!!
