Where's all my Tomin haters who were talking all that "5 years w/o playoff win" ****

They need to be called out.

There are people on this board who root for us to lose. That **** really pisses me off. Somebody started a thread saying they'd rather go 0-16 to get rid of Tomlin than win.

We have TRAITORS on this forum. That **** should not be allowed to stand.

shoot them at high noon!

yinz go too far with the military references lulz

I seriously doubt one Steelers Nation poster besides the trolls wish for our team to lose...

Those 'traitors' just hate Tomlin. They're still cheering when the Steelers knock out the Bungles in the playoffs. It's not needed to call anyone out after that KO boxing match last night. The game was epic, and dirty, and hard hitting, and powerful, and I may have just witnessed the best non Lynn Swann catch in team history. The last thing we need to worry about after a win like that, is fans calling out other fans proactively.

I understand your frustration with enduring negative remarks week after week on our team, my point is the infighting will still continue in the threads, there just wasn't a reason to create thread dedicated to putting down Steelers fans after an epic win like that.

Where the **** are you at now?

You just saw WHY Tomiln is one of the BEST COACHES in the league. Our team could have gone out of control when Cincy did, but we STAYED DISCIPLINED and let the refs burn Cincy.

Please explain how this win is Cowher's fault.

Easy man. I think all of us want the win. But let's get real, Tomlin did not coach a good game. He should have kicked the extra point, going up 16-0, making the Bengals score 2Td's + two 2-point conversions to beat us.

Going for two in the road and in the rain did not make tactical sense.

Would you rather be up 18-16 meaning a FG beats you or have kicked the extra point being up 19-16?

The Steelers almost blew a 15-0 lead. If the Bengals don't fumble or commit two very stupid personal fouls, Tomlin is likely cast as the goat. In this case he was facing an 0-7 coach in the playoffs, that had a bunch of thugs on his team.

Darwin would have loved the Cincinnati Bengals

If the CIncinatti Bengals were an aminal, they would have gone extinct from their own stupidity long ago.

Never in all my years have I see a team blow a playoff game like they did.

Some of us can be critical of the team. I'm one of them. To want them to lose? No. I'd like for all my teams to dominate. It would be nice to watch a game without your heart stopping at the end lol

I blame the coaching staff for calling a pass play on 3rd-and-18 after they'd been running the ball most of the night. Run a draw, gain a couple yards, run out the third quarter clock, don't give the other team any momentum with a 12-yard sack on the 5-yard line, don't risk an injury to Ben against an obviously fired-up Bengals defense, and punt the ball back to them from the 20 at the start of the 4th.

Real simple.
This exactly what I was screaming about last night. They were foaming at the mouth at that point to get a shot on anyone, but especially Ben. It's 3rd & 18 deep in our own end. We're up 2 scores in the 4th quarter. The defense is pitching a shutout. Anyone with any knowledge of football strategy and momentum and how differently a team plays once they lose it has to understand that you run a safe play and punt in that situation. The amount of stupidity that went into allowing that play to go down the way it did is astounding. Now because of it we have a QB that more than likely isn't gonna be worth a **** the rest of the playoffs, however long that ends up being. One could actually make the argument that this dumbass play also played a big role in AB getting hurt. As soon as the team saw that Ben was hurt, it completely shut down the flow of adrenaline and momentum that was allowing the defense to play the way it was. Does anyone think it was just a coincidence that the Bengals were suddenly able to move the ball and score right after this all happened?

If I hear this "we don't live in our fears" bullshit from Tomlin one more time, I'm going to go Burdick on him. the trouble with Tomlin at least when he pulls this **** going for two especially in a game on the road with wet and crappy conditions, where every point is valuable, he does not think beyond the moment. He needs to be playing the entire game in his head all the way to the 4'th quarter when that one point could have and most likely should have cost us this game. Kick the extra point, don't have your franchise QB throwing on 3'rd and 18 from deep in his territory when you know they are headhunting and would love nothing better than to take star players out. You're running successfully so go with that and short quick passes where Ben doesn't have to drop deep. Instruct him to get rid of the ball early. We had a 15 point lead going to the 4'th quarter, let the defense make AJ MaCarron beat you. At best, this game should have ended without much fanfare 15-7.

Let's leave out the part where if Ben throws an accurate pass the two point play works.

IMO there's zero reason to be throwing to the back of the end zone on a conversion attempt. Why invite traffic? Throw underneath to the goal line on a timing route.

There is if he is open. Accurate pass two points

*Yawn!* Another one of these? Really? Ok, I'll play.

Tomlin did a good job keeping the boys together. Coordinators had a pretty good plan to keep us in a good position. The 2 point conversion is questionable, but I understand why, but disagree with the time in the game. Wasn't really needed at that point and hurt us. I'm glad he had a well managed game and stuck to his plan and kept his "gut" in check. However, if Ben doesn't come back this thread is dead right after you release your first post.

He definitely hasn't played too great the last few games..

We're going to need him play better next weekend.

Right.

349 yards, 3 touchdowns, and a 103 QB rating against the Browns.
229 yards, 1 touchdown, no turnovers, and a 92 QB rating against a good Bengals defense in the pouring rain, including coming off the bench with a ******-up shoulder to lead the game-winning drive.

Not too great.

Ben sucks. Tomlin rulz.

Again, tomlin isnt the worse coach in the league, he isnt great either... He is a middle level coach working in a great organization. He goes too conservative then too agressive or vice versa at times, but so did cowher... I think if he missed the playoffs or had blown the 15 point lead and lost this one he should be on the hot seat, but as it is he is safe for a couple years.... I

Ben sucks?.. no one said that. He did enough to get the win. That's all I care about, I just know he can play better still.

Yeap he could have been way better, he left people open because he was fixed on another receiver. With that much pressure from the bengals D he had to get rid of it quicker.
BUT, coming back to the game in those conditions, that requires huge ******* balls and a lot of love for the team. Ben definitely deserves a pass

No doubt!

We have the toughest QB in football. Wouldn't trade him for anyone.

antdrewjosh is bitching about Ben not completing a 2-pt conversion that shouldn't have been attempted in the first place. You're bitching about Ben not playing well the past two games, which simply is not be the case. You might as well have said it.

Funny, for me, that's how it feels with Tomlin -- he did enough to get the win. Difference is, at this point, I don't know that he's able to coach any better.
