You’re ******* arguing just to argue. It doesn’t matter where you rank either player. The Browns paid Garret five million more per season than Crosby. That reset the market.
Yes, originally the Raiders set the market but Haslam reset it by 5 million per season.
TJ is averaging like 28 million per season. Had Haslam just signed Garret to the same amount as Crosby at 35 million, that’s where we’d be now with trying to resign TJ. Since Haslam decided to reset things, now to keep TJ we will have to pay him 40 million and not 35 million.
Do you understand now?
What the Browns did w/ Watson was asinine, but giving Garret a few million more than the former highest paid guy is not the same thing. We do not know what TJ will take. I assume he would take somewhere between Crosby and Myles if he wants to be here. After the Raiders signed Crosby we were looking at 36+ for TJ anyway. Guaranteed money is another thing we are looking at somewhere between 90-120 million more than likely. I could see TJ taking less to goto a true contender or asking the steelers to pay more to stay and I cant blame him. I do think ultimately we will sign TJ, he is not the type of player we let walk.

He has issues with $50, so little chance he gets the delta over $5M per year

The point is that by paying Garrett 40 million per season escalated the new cost for premier edge rushers to 40 million per season. Haslam if he was smart should have offered 35 million same as Crosby.
TJ is going to want paid life Garrett. These guys have enormous egos and Watt not winning DPOY two seasons ago when Garrett won is sticking in his crawl. Don’t think for a second he’s going to want to take 5 million less per year than Garrett.

We don't.
Somehow it won't let me click on a pick.
My takes is that Shades would REALLY like to draft Sanders but I think him and Dart will be gone by 21, especially since the Saints now need a QB.
We've got Mason and I think they have a verbal deal with A-Aron but they know he doesn't want to do OTA's and minicamp so they'll wait until those things are over to announce the A-Aron signing so that both sides have some cover.

This is definitely a possibility. There were reports the steelers were not impressed w/ Sanders, but it could be all smoke and mirrors. Im fine w/ waiting till the draft for Rodgers, but if they let him skip the OTAs and what not then they should not even entertain signing him. This would also royally screw over Mason. He is coming to a new system and he skipped some OTAs for the Jets which did not turn out well. He at least needs to be in the building getting to know the guys / playbook. Even if Rodgers can adapt quickly the other guys need to adapt to what Rodgers is looking at / trying to do.

Scary to think that if Ben were to come out of retirement, he would be thier best choice.

If multiple QB-needy teams with offensive head coaches pass on these guys, the Steelers better run away from both.
Unfortunately, we are talking Clown-lin here, not too much going on upstairs.

And Shades would do that in a heartbeat if he thought it would get him 9 wins.

Sanders is smaller than Kenny. Even his hands.

If Pgh takes one of them, and it's a mistake, they should turn right around and draft another one in '26, but they won't, Art will hang on for way too long per usual. He's just too old and stodgy, can't act quickly.

They are definitely taking a QB this year. It's just a matter of when. If they pass in the 1st, even Shough and Milroe will be gone by the 3rd. They will be picking nothing more than probably a career backup at that point unless they hit the lottery.

I think there are several potential Dak/Cousins/Wilson types that will be there in rounds 3 and 4.

There are, just have to pick the right one, and then you have Pgh's coaching staff to navigate. No easy chore.

Sam Howell is on the trading block. Weren't the steelers interested in him? Can he play tomlinball?

Fields was playing tomlinball just the way Tomlin likes it. He benched him for Russ.

Sanders can play tomlinball. Reports say most of his passes are within 5 yards of the Line of scrimmage. Run up to that Podium and make the pick.

Is Sanders the same size as Kyler Murray?

MY BOLD PREDICTION: WE WILL TRADE UP & we are gonna grab Prime Jr with our #1.....the Saints @ #9 pass on Sanders as they don't think he's "it' or a good fit...Now at #'s 10-20 I don't see anyone who has to have a QB & I can see us trading up to any of these spots if Sanders falls...We can trade up anywhere from to 10-20 & grab him if he falls...

None of these teams from 10-20 are QB needy...Maybe Indy, but it's not looking like they will go that direction as they spent 14 mil on DJ & I'm thinking they are content to let Richardson & Jones fight it out, push each other & fill out their roster elsewhere...I can see the Giants/Jets maybe trying to trade up to here as well as I don't think either will burn a top 10 pick on him with the other players of value & need on the board...But they could try to trade up between #10-20 just like the Steelers possibly could for Prime Jr.

Why do you think Sanders is so small? He's 6'2", 212lbs.

Kyler Murray is 5'10", 207lbs.

Ward, Sanders, Dart, Milroe, and Ewers are all the same height.
