how the **** do you think that bullshit deserves a new Samuels thread?
I'm perfectly fine with Conner resting this game, and seeing if Samules can do it again.
I'm also fine with Conner when he's healthy and Samules being on the field at the same time. Remember, Samules can be a Tight End too.
Maybe Randy will have what looks like a 2 back set on one down, then have Samules line up as the 2nd TE on the next forcing the opposing defense to stay sharp and possibly giving us a mis match.
No Coach, he's not a TE. Never was. He was incorrectly listed as a TE in the draft, and that may be why you think that. He never lined up once as an inline TE. He was a slot WR and skatback. All 3 of our TEs are a better TE than Samuels, though I think he may be our 2nd best slot WR and our best receiver out of the backfield.
Washington's one catch shows AB is easily replaceable also
Samuels last game showed that Conner can easily be replaced.

I don't care about the poison designation. Samuels can play RB, RB, H-Back, Receiving TE, or even slot WR. It's up to the coaches to get him the best matchups, and if sneaking to play a tight end role helps, I say do it. He's too fast for most linebackers to cover.
It was one game, if he shows up again on Sunday, the arrow will be pointing in the right direction.
Hey coach, do you really believe it is all on Samuels or is there merit to be given to the OL and play selection.
I am willing to concede that a good running back stands out for his ability to get yards after contact and an innate ability to make defenders miss. Not all RB's are equal in those skills but the good ones all have a certain amount of that kind of skill set.
I also have to concede that a running back is vastly impacted by the quality of the OL in front of him. It's no surprise to me that we have had a steady flow of productive RB's over the last couple years.
Bell goes down-Williams steps in and now we have a trifecta, Bell out...Conner hurt...Samuels is next. Even Riddley has shown some stuff.
I have heard a quote that reminds me of the status....The standard is the standard....No?
I ain't puttin' nuffin on Samuels...it's all the product of a team effort IMO

The Saints currently rank #1 overall vs the run with just 1,107 yards surrendered, and rank #2 overall with 3.7 yards per rush.
This is very impressive. The #1 overall ranking vs. yards surrendered has something to do with their high powered offense limiting the opponents rushing attempts.
When you drill down and see the most yards they surrendered on the ground in a single game was 112 yards ( In their season opener ) it also tells me they must be good at limiting big plays with their rushing defense.
I usually wait for three really good games to see if a rookie or new player has star potential. If Samuels can do well here, ( with Ju-Ju out placing even more pressure on him ), I think we have something special.
