What position do you think is the biggest need?

Steelers did a good job plugging holes with trading for Wormley and signing Ebron but what position do you feel is the teams greatest need. Wormley has only one year on his contract and Ebron could be 1 as it makes him easily cut after the season. Foster retired, Feiler only has a one year deal, Banner only has a one year deal. Roethlisberger is coming off of major injury, Connor only has one year left.

OL / QB / because after BEN retires a 3-time SB champion after this season, two of his OL compatriots are leaving with him.

You have to see if you have a Starter in each position when healthy. Right now I'd say NT is #1 because we lack a starter there, but then again, we're moving away from a 3DL Front. So now you look at quality of Starter and what is questionable:

LG
RT, if our starting RT moves to LG
WR

Those are my 3 biggest needs. I like JuJu, but he couldn't carry the team last year, and honestly, he's a big slot to me. Not sold on the Z with Washington, and I like DJ as the X, but he's still unproven. I would not be surprised at all if our first pick is a WR. Otherwise Oline is our only need

Depth will come down to the following slots:
WR
C
G
S
ILB
OLB
CB (Edge depth)
P

I don't have RB as high as a lot of you, I think we're honestly 3 deep there, but I'm fine with upgrading if a stud drops.

1 RG or RT - One starter left one starter needed. 2 RB - there isn't a RB on the roster that gives me confidence in regards to being healthy and productive for a full season. That needs to change. 3 WR- Washington is a big question mark for me. Try hard type but I wonder if he hasn't already reached his ceiling. 4 ILber,OLBer,S, and QB can all make solid debates here due to depth concerns. 5. NT - perhaps they don't scheme a need for one, but Big Dan is still on the roster so they must have some use for the position. He just might be the 53s weakest link.

I think we need another coverage ILB. We're pretty thin overall at ILB with Vince and Bush good starters and after that we have two totally untested players in UGIII and Spillane. Gotta love Bush and Vince is the best tackler on the team and a heckuva run stuffer but everyone knows he's a total liability in coverage. I realize folks had issues with Barron but losing him as a cap casualty leaves one of the few holes that the FO has yet to fill.

I'm right with you. The offensive line wasn't good last year and it wasn't just because who was under center. A strong offensive line can mask a lot of other issues on offense. The QBs suddenly have more time, the running backs more holes to run through. Having playmakers at wide receiver is important as well and while I think the Steelers have depth, they need another top guy out there. With so many talented receivers in this draft, they may be able to get the best value at this position in the draft.

After the free agent signings, there is no actual need. The steelers starting positions are all set and they have at least some depth pretty much everywhere. They really are set up for best player available in each round. They are drafting for upgrades, not to plug holes and that's the best position to be in.

Having said that, i would put TE as the biggest need. That's because Vance is the only TE that can block and he's always an injury concern. Ebron may be a 1 year rental and he's just a big receiver. If they need Ebron to play a traditional TE then they are in trouble.

I have no faith in Gentry at all. He is very tall and that makes it tougher to be a good blocker because it's so easy to get under his pads. He's weak too. Unless he did nothing but lift weights all offseason, I doubt he'll be much of a blocker. He could possibly develop into a decent receiver but I don't think he'll ever be great.

This TE draft class is not great. Maybe they can get a good one in round 2, because they could possibly be drafting the first or 2nd TE of the draft if they pick one in RD 2.

I'd like them to sign another free agent if somebody who can block is available so that they don't find themselves is the same spot as last year where they had 1 injury and then were forced to make a trade for a mediocre guy out of necessity.

How much will Corona virus impact training camp? It seems unlikely there will be OTAs but that's not a huge deal. Training camp is the big one. If teams think camp will be shortened or nearly eliminated, then maybe that changes who teams draft. Perhaps teams will draft more experienced players who are more ready to play instead of the higher upside guy who is raw.

I wouldn't say Fosters starting position is set. And we lost two Olinemen brought in one over thirty. I like SW but that IMO doesn't change the Oline from being a concern. If I was the Steelers I would still bring in another vet who can play C/G. Or RT..

OL because you need to continually upgrade that sector to keep up with this passing league. We haven't invested much in our current offensive line in a while and look where we are at now. AGING out and new OL coach isn't helping or doesn't seem to be. If there is a good OL / G / C in rnd 2, I'd hope we snarf him up.

Probably OL but that is more looking to the future than this coming year. Most of our pieces for this year are on the roster and won't come from our draft.

They can also use a big, fast, WR that has good hands. He can learn how to run different routes but if he has those 3, we can definitely use him and he might get playing time this year.

The way they worked FA, I still think they should go O with their 1st pick but if there is a D player they really like, I can see that as well. I just hope they don't reach for a player since we are so limited this year with our draft.

atleast 2 OL picks rnd 2 Jackson/Bredeson
rnd 3 WR/SS Johnson/ Muse/Chinn was watching both S and although Edmunds is fast to match up with hybrid te he just takes poor angle I rather have me a smart read and react hard hitting S similar to clark, was watching muse 2019 highlights he looks lika Caucasian Clark in the making hard hitting smart has a knack for being in the right place. Chin is another big hard hitter who, I see is more of a steady but not flashy SS.
rnd 4 OT? Durant LSU big powerful RT to groom in behind Fielier or possibly in 2 years flip to LT? opr have a competition as AJ cap hit is rising and his pass protection is just declining.
I would love to see us draft Hudson trade both rnd 6 picks into 5 to secure him.who played the viper spot and you could use him in sub packages when ola comes in at edge and do a overload blitz

Looking at 2021 we have 56 million in salary cap space. But looking at 2021 we are without our LT, RT, DE, RB, WR, OLB, and CB starters. That isn’t even talking about the backups like Banner, Alualu, and McCullers or the sub package starters like Hilton or the 31+ year olds that will be URFA after 2021 like DeCastro, Pouncey, ROETHLISBERGER.

We have lots of work to do with very little draft picks to do it. I feel the Steelers will be movers in April trying to stockpile picks for 2020 and 2021.

I guess the 3-3-5 will be like our base D with so many 3 WR (and or catching TEs) formations on O?
Heyward Wormley Tuitt
Watt Bush Dupree
Haden Edmunds Hilton Fitzpatrick Nelson

Given the lack of depth at ILB it makes sense, also it would help a lot againt teams that run from that formations and leave us thin at the front 4.
I just hate that 2 Dlinemen front
