What if the Steelers miss out on Devin Bush and Devin White…

This is why I like to take the BPA. The draft isn't deep at ILB so why draft an ILB? I'd rather take the BPA in the first 3 rounds then you can take shots at ILB later and hope to find one. I argued with TMC about this point. He was totally right. After I saw the Steelers draft Troy Edwards because they "needed" a WR it started to make sense to me. The first 3 rounds (give or take a few spots) is where you need to find top talent. There will be some players at similar levels on the draft board. If you have 2 players ranked at the same level then you take the one where you need him. But if you have a 2nd round grade on Bush don't pick him in the first round if you have a 1st round pick on someone who is available.

but is not just the Steelers, Bush is being defined by most draft people as a solid pick in the mid 1st, is not like drafting him at 1.20 would be a reach. Not that I am totally sold on him, just pointing a fact that almost everyone sees him as a plug & play guy at the NFL level with the skills of a playmaker, above someone similar like Mack.

Now if someone falls of better value then BPA all the way but if they are rated similar then why not go with your biggest need?

I kind of do my own thing. I look at players I would take if I were the Steelers. Just look at the guys tape. He gets lost in the wash. He struggles to identify where the play is going. He struggles to get off blocks. That's what I see. IMHO he is a reach in the 1st. I don't care where he is on some draft guys board. These guys see something different or they are just looking at combine numbers. I try to put the two together. What I see is someone who is going to struggle in the NFL but will make some splash plays. He's really going to struggle in Tomlin's 2 DL defense. He'd be better going to a 4-3 team or a true 3-4 team. Here he will be stuck fighting off OL and TEs that are going to eat his lunch.

Just my opinion. I could be wrong.
