What if Bell has a non-football injury and then signs his tender?

**** bell. The second he signs his contract i would trade him to the hightest bidder. We need as many high picks as we can get to sure up the defense

If he signs before the trade deadline. If he doesn't I suspend him two games. When he gets back I bench him and play him only on special teams.

Then I slap the non exclusive tag next year. And let someone else have the headache.

Heard on The Fan that he may just sit the whole year and wait for Free Agency.

If he sits the "whole year" Steelers own his rights next year.

Idk,

I'd assume he'd have to pass a physical.

A non-football injury....even when he is not signed, I am sure is something they would not be on the hook for. How could they be? Technically, he is not under any contract so why would they be on the hook for it? Can't be.

Shhhhh don’t let the dumbass know. Seeing how dumb he is it would be great if he did sit out not knowing

Looks like a blunt.

I didn't want to be blunt about it, but you are very likely correct sir. You know LB is partaking. He's living it up right now, obviously, if you will.

Yup. That is the risk with not signing the tender. If he gets hurt working out on his own, or a stripper sits down too hard on his knee while bouncing up and down. He'd come in, and bam doctors would call foul and the tag can be voided. That would screw his next contract:

Doesn't report to camp for second year in a row.
Doesn't sign when the season starts
Shown in a strip club late Saturday before the Steelers play a game
Throws shade after the result
Talks like it's the team's fault trying to make him the highest paid RB for the second year in a row
Jerking around on a jet ski mouthing off with his white bro, about the Steelers needing to pay him

This is a trend now that will affect teams from signing this guy to a blockbuster deal.

The GRASS ain't always GREENER!!!

ALSO several teams, including the STEELERS are getting it done without the ALL MIGHTY powerful FULL pay RB. They don't need them and are doing fine with 2nd tier RBs. The NFL is leading away from contact, which means RB is becoming less and less of a need. I don't want anything bad to happen to BELL but he took a gamble on the first tag and it paid off (great contract offer). The second TAG he decided to take another gamble and this time it's going to bite him. I'm thinking he will have a hard time topping 12.5-14.5 mil on his new contract if it's a contending team. There are NON-contenders who will possibly give crazy money but that will still be hard to find, NO 20mil a year deals for him.

NO problem as then he doesn't fulfill his contractual year thius giving the STEELERS another year of his rights. If he is that ******* stupid to sit the remainder of this year out, then he is clearly high.

If he does, their best move would be to give him a non-exclusive tag next year. He can negotiate with any other team, the Steelers have the right to match (they won't), and they get two first-round picks as compensation.

HOLY ****

The Steelers are doing fine?

The Steelers haven't won a game!

Pipe dream, but that would be sweet.

He looks over his playing weight.

Question on Bell. If by chance the Steelers trade him, would the team that takes him via the trade be eligible for a compensatory draft pick if they lose him in free agency?

If the answer if yes, you have to assume Bell is worth a 3rd or 4th round compensatory pick. Just asking, not sure about the rules.

Care to answer the question, private clueless?

Ok coach I will answer your retarded question.

1 You can not trade Bell without him signing before the trade deadline.

2 Why would two clubs in the same year be eligible for comp pics? makes no sense.

3 Now a good question WOULD HAVE BEEN. Does it go against the team that traded for Bell in next years comp equation.

BTW I would never call you private clueless, because everyone already knows your clueless. Nothing private about it meathead.

He is more like Captain Clueless than just a Private.

If Bell is traded this season, the team he went to would get compensation if Bell left in FA, because he'd be that teams' player lost, not ours. Our compensation would be awarded at the trade.

Also it is a benefit to a team giving away a pick to acquire Bell for this season's run, since they know they will be gaining a pick if Bell leaves (so still the same net amount of picks).

I didn't word number 2 well (sorry about that coach). Thanks Cope for cleaning it up.

Only one club will get comp picks. Steelers if they keep him, the other club if they trade him.
