We're meeting New Orleans at the right time

After losing to the Raiders, I would not take any opponent lightly, especially the Bengals. They would love to spoil our season and probably play dirty (yet again) at the same time. If the Rats lose to LA, and we beat the Saints, we could rest key starters vs. the Bengals.

Assuming just beating the headhunters is a bad strategy.

Take care of business Sunday and own up

Then there's this

Saints were down to last healthy offensive linemen

Via Luke Johnson of the New Orleans Times-Picayune, backup left tackle Jermon Bushrod left last night’s game against the Panthers with an undisclosed injury, and center Max Unger didn’t return after being checked for a concussion. They were already without left tackle Terron Amrstead, forcing them to scramble a bit. Unger missed the entire second half, while Bushrod was injured on the failed two-point conversion

Seventh-round rookie Will Clapp came in at left guard while Andrus Peat slid out to tackle, while 2017 undrafted rookie Camerom Tom replaced Unger in the middle

Hope those OL get healthy or we will sleep on getting anything going vs the backups...last time I remember facing an OL in shambles like that was vs the Fins down in Miami a couple of years ago when we were facing an OL full of guys that were burger flippers the day before we played them. That hapless team tuned us up...just seems whenever a mismatch could be exploited we let some nobodies have career days vs us, I just don't get it.

It just seems when a scenario like that is there for the taking we like to fall on our collective faces

I'm sure SDS will give you the clap.

He won't just stop there as 1/2 the sheep in Wyoming & 1/3 in east river South Dakota have that problem...!!!!!

Salute the nation

What in the blue hell are you talking about?

Our strength on D is up front with Watt, Tuitt, Heyward etc overwhelming offense lines.

That is our best chance to win

Remember when Ryan Mallett owned us late in the season a few years back? Still to this day I get infuriated thinking about that game

It's just a sickening recurring bad dream of seeing us play down to what should be a helluva mismatch advantage in our favor. Ugh, we made Mallet look real good...didn't we do that with Mettenberger too?

I keep trying to block these things but they just won't go away

Just talking about our history, the reference was from a couple years back, but we have been doing this for several years now.

Yeah a Tomlin trend has been to play down to competition.

And conversely they play up vs. better teams.

This is the latter.

Also, look at the RELEVANT trend: Saints injury report is 5/6 guys on OL.

If you’re paying attention to other teams this year, you’d know that NO has been winning due to running the ball, and struggling since the OL injuries started.

Our run defense has been our weakness.

is burfict even playing? I think he's hurt. I think you're making much ado about nothing.

As long as JuJu is playing, I'm not worried about Burthdefect.lol
