Welcome to Draft day 2025

There are potential starters still out there...thinking of guys who can step in if needed like McCormick last year or a player who can grow into a starting role.

WR:
Elic Ayomanor - I think he's more of a straight-line guy, but he still has upside.
Xavier Restrepo - excellent production the last two years.
Jalen Royals - nothing wrong with getting a dependable possession receiver.
Tez Johnson - such a small frame but is very good at what he does.

OL:
Logan Brown - a lot of analysts said he could be the best late-round OL and a potential steal.
Marcus Mbow - I don't think he was a guy the Steelers looked at, but he's about the best available OL on every site.
Miles Frazier - has experience at tackle but thrived at guard after joining LSU.

IDL:
Joshua Farmer - a guy the Steelers showed interest in if they want to continue to build the DL.
JJ Pegues - another player they were interested in plus his fun versatility.
Deone Walker - just a titanic of a human who would add some unreal size to the line.
CJ West - a potential rotational player for the middle of the defense.

DB:
Quncy Riley - the Steelers never seem to focus on the DBs, but there are a few that are available. Riley would be a nice developmental piece.
Zah Frazier - crazy speed for his height.
Cobee Bryant - potential nickel corner.

Definitely still some WR talent there. Farmer, Pegues or Walker would all be good DL depth. Pegues is still new to the position with his arrow pointing up.

Sanders was the only FBS QB who completed 80% of his passes when not pressured. He doesnt have a rocket arm, but it is not terrible. I do feel like he is being blackballed which may have been his own fault. I think part of it is his dad and part of it must have been acting like an entitled punk during the pre-draft process. If Sanders last name was not Sanders and he went through the process properly there is no chance he would be there in the 4th round. He is a 4yr starter and elevated both teams he was on. the whole CU team was basically Sanders, Hunter, and Wester. Wester is listed as a 7th round prospect at best and put up more yrds than Hunter in the last 2 years. Sanders numbers have been crazy consistent and there is no reason to not take a flyer on him unless his attitude is just that bad. I saw 2 draft guys who have been doing this 40+ yrs and they have never seen a guy they had ranked as high as Sanders and fall so far.

I would not be opposed to taking Sanders as long as he was my 2nd pick at QB. I have been on the pick 2 QB’s plan all along. I do wish that Shough would have been the first, but think this late Howard looks acceptable.

i see no reason to draft Sanders. You draft a QB because you hope he can develop into a top starter. His lack of arm means to me his ceiling will be a Minshew level starter. I'm not drafting that. You can just sign a guy like that to be your backup and that backup won't have a bunch of reporters at his locker.

Last night during the post draft shedur struggle session on NFL Net, Klatt brought up the fact that teams don't want their #2 QB to be a circus. Eisen seemed almost mad and said Mike Tomlin can control a locker room. We steeler fans know that's not true.

I'd rather take Ewers, Howard, McCord,

And 60% complete when on the move. His attitude and his daddy baggage are his problems.

Bills following the eagles blueprint, adding beef to the DL
