Week One Beatdown

They will still be cheating. You have the radio gear. Everything on the headset should be kraft sucks, Belicheat lied roger sucks. Watch for the reaction in their faces while they listen in.

In reality they should plan on a no huddle and sabotage their own head sets so the other team has to do with out as well.:logo:

We need 29 points to win because they will score 28.

Run DeAngelo until his wheel falls off in NE. We have a horse. Ride 'em for a W! I'm not overconfident, but I like our chances now. I was not too thrilled to open the season in NE while they are slurping over their SB win, but it's now one we can steal and don't look back.

I wouldnt use a run centric offense at all... the pats secondary is a mess. Our passing offense is one of the best in the league. Bell is great because he can run out of pass formations effectively. I think we should have learned our lesson about trying to be a run first offense in the playoffs last year... that just isnt what we are anymore

True, The Bruce is gone and Toddster is a lot better at exploiting the opposition's weaknesses. With The Bruce you could count on "Well, we have a great passing game, they have a lousy pass defense, they'll be expecting us to pass, so we'll run."

Don't discount the fact that the Patriots now have everyone's signals recorded in 3D, Even if they have not managed to master a new deflation technique over the next few months, that will not be easy to overcome. There is also a rumor surfacing that they have hacked every team's bank accounts and will be holding the funds hostage in exchange for turnovers, playbooks, a presidential pardon of Aaron Hernandez, sexual favors etc.

We might win now. I still wouldn't be surprised if they jack the appeals process around so Brady plays the first game and gets suspended later.

I don't think the rules allow that. Only way Brady plays is if his suspension is completely reversed prior to game one and that's not happening.

i, for one, hope grapehole looks good.
not good enough to win, but good.
it'd be a mirage and hopefully one big enough to cause the P*ts to cut loose the cheating arrogant and pompous ******* jackass dickhole.

then they and their ******* bullshit fans can slither back under the rocks they came from.

I was being a little sarcastic with "run him until his wheels fall off" reference. I really have no idea at this point, what the game plan will be. We did so well with the passing game last year, it would be logical to go back to it, I guess. Like I said, I have no idea what will happen in week 1 or how Haley and Co will approach it. NE not having Brady does make our chances that much more better, though.

I would not be surprised if Tomlin requests to play with the Patriot's balls.

*'s won't have Blount either. Believe he was listed as their starter as well.

Either way, I agree, if Tomlin doesn't have them ready to play, it won't make any difference.

Yep..Our coach needs to get our players read to play the first game of the season. Boy if this is the case we are in more trouble than what anyone knows.

Belicheck has all preseason to prepare for this game versus the limited Tomlin. The Steelers without Bell have no way to balance the run pass . Pats will win and make Tomlin look inept as usual

Our players shouldn't need Tomlin to win this one. If we lose it will be on them and them alone.

So Tomlin has nothing to do with winning and losing, got it.

No Brady and Blount. You think we need Tomlin to win this game I guess. Got it. You apparently think highly of Tomlin. More than I thought you did that is for sure.

I worry more when we play bad teams because it's a virtual certainty that they'll **** the bed. I still don't like our chances but without Brady they're somewhat better. Belicheat has our number, quite literally, so let's hope that Butler comes up with some new wrinkles. One of the few times we beat the Pats** was the year Brady was out.

I do love a lot of the homerism/optimism on here, but the Steelers will go in to NE on opening night and still get their ***** handed to them....guaranteed. I can easily see me wagering a good deal of money on that game if it stays near a pick em at kickoff. The Pats and their fans will rally around the suspension and they will get every single call from the officials because Rog will feel bad that he screwed over his butt buddy Kraft. Throw in the fact that we have nobody to slow down Gronk, Bell is out, and Tomlin has a piss poor history of getting his team ready to play and I could easily see a 34-20 final score. If I am wrong, I'll be a happy man that we are 1-0 but it will not happen....no freaking way.

Its only May and the whiny *** Tomlin-haters are already in full force.

He is the head coach and he is useless on game days.

So basically you agree with my original post you quoted then. You keep flipping back and forth here.

Bet against your own team?

I do not bet but if I did, you can damn sure know that I would never ever pick against the Steelers. Ever.

Even in my pick-em leagues 10+ years I never bet against the Steelers.

You sir, are awesome. I never ever bet / pick against the STEELERS. Over the years, I've won way more than I've lost. PLUS-
they are my team!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Salute the nation

Even if I knew, in my heart and head, that the Steelers would lose 42-0, I would not bet against them. I don't bet either, but no way! Fantasy Football makes me uneasy as it is hoping a player gets some points against them that I need, but actual betting against or for, nope! Never!

The game could go either way. Bitching about Tomlin haters being here is like bitching about Tomlin balchinians being here. Most of us were fans of the team prior to his being here and will be when he is gone like him or not it is the individuals choice to do so get over it.

I know it's tempting to say "we play down to lesser QBs" and all that about our defense, but keep in mind we have a new defensive coordinator. Keith Butler may be a disciple but he's also not an old man stuck in his ways either. I am going to be optimistic that he is very aware of the shortcomings of DLB's defenses, and that he remembers what we did to the P*ts when we played press man coverage against them back in 2011

I don't believe DL was stuck in his ways. If you listen to coaches around the league they said DL was a master of changes. He just didn't have the talent. He didn't forget how to coach in 2 years. In 2011 they had better players than they do now. If Butler plays a lot press man coverage with these guys they are going to get slaughtered. Several of the big plays give up this past year were in press man coverage. They just don't have the talent.
