Week One Beatdown

Have no idea what the final score will be, but I can bet that Jar Jar doesn't even get a whiff of Jimmy Grabshispole.

We might win now. I still wouldn't be surprised if they jack the appeals process around so Brady plays the first game and gets suspended later.

Backup QB?

It will be a nail biter.

Tomlin will talk about Grapenuts pedigree.

We will play down to them.

I think Ben brings it home.

So we have a couple of things going against us - Tomlin never has this team ready to compete early in the season, and we will probably be facing a backup QB. That said, I really think we will come out and stomp those ********, whether Brady plays or not.

At some point, we have to get back to kicking ***

A guy with little gametape can be very dangerous if you don't respect his skill. We still have a giant ? on defense in general, particularly in the secondary and even a bigger ? at RB for this game....

The Steelers have been known to fall to lesser known quarterbacks. The Kelly Holcumbs, Jon Kitnas, Tebow, Terrell Pryor

Ron...

If I have one concern... this is it. However, what I believe will keep the suspension at the BEGINNING of the season is the thought of having the suspension in the MIDDLE of the season. I think that they will simply want it behind them before they get into more divisional games.

Bud gets his first NFL sack

Harrison gets fined for looking at the qb with bad intentions.

Based on our past history, it will be a tough game. We play down to our opponents. We typically make back up QB's look like All Pros. Let's hope that trend does not continue this year. With our tough schedule, a win in week one without Bell would be huge even if Marsha isn't playing.

wish i shared this confidence in the team that some of you guys seem to have developed. too many times we let ****** football teams hang around only to win or lose on a play in the last 3 minutes.
i think they win, i DO NOT see a blowout. no way

Brady will appeal and will play in the game. I'm already seeing the groundwork being laid for this. This is a dog and pony show.

Hopefully we win anyway. That would be sweet.

I see no way Brady plays this game. Even if he appeals it won't take until Sept. to get worked out. I can't think of anyone that was suspended in early May that played opening day.

Still going to be a tough game but without Brady it is manageable. If the defense can't stop a guy with zero real NFL experience then it's going to be a long year.

We better be prepared for all 60 minutes of the game! The possibility (Goodell could cave) that Brady doesn't play against us is offset with the "Patriot way" of showing up the other team on a prime time Thursday night opening game. Emotions will be high. We have a young defense that can't make mistakes, especially since we don't have Levean Bell to bail us out!

Coach Tomlin and his staff need to prepare this team well, both physically and mentally.

Tomlin has not shown us fans he has the capabilities to have his team "mentally prepared". Tomlin is not known as having intellectual prowess so football smarts. I hope this is the last year we have to watch our Steelers languish in mediocrity.

*'s won't have Blount either. Believe he was listed as their starter as well.

Either way, I agree, if Tomlin doesn't have them ready to play, it won't make any difference.

Paper today says the spread for the opener dropped from +6 to +1.

Like the Warden said on the movie The Longest Yard. "Once you have a 3 TD lead, inflict as much damage as possible".

Time to shove it up the Patriots' *** week one. eom.

Most teams that win a super bowl experience a let down. In this case there may not be one. Don't be surprised if Belicheat uses the suspension as motivation.
