Video Highlights of Kareem Hunt

Someone might pick him up but he will be in elgible to play until suspension / ect. Is served and he may even be in jail. I'd pick him up even if just to hold onto him to see what this clears out as.....................

Salute the nation
NE will pick him up and the NFL will reinstate him

Was Hunt just playing a tough guy "hold me back" there or would things have been worse if there weren't others there to keep him from going at her. Unless she was an imminent threat to his safety, he has no reason to get physical with her. This is a world class athlete against a woman, why even go after her like that? He has absolutely NOTHING to gain in this situation and everything to lose.

I find it very hard to believe the NFL and the Chiefs didn't know about this video. It's pretty obvious if there are security cameras in an area and maybe they declined to watch so they could play dumb just to keep him from suspension. Teams never feel bad until the video hits. Unlike the Foster situation with Washington, there's no way a team signs Hunt because there's a video and there is no way the NFL allows him back in the league until he serves a long-term suspension.

The bigger picture of an incident like this is these are kids....lets face it....20+ year old kids....alcohol involved....OF COURSE. What bothers me with this whole incident is the headlines used to report this....."KAREEM GOES BERZERK!". You watch that video it's not any different than thousands of incidences that will occur is Anytown, USA tonigh twhen you mix young adolescents and alcohol. What everyone is missing with a report like this is how MEN are being treated with regards to this so called "TOXIC MASCULINITY" Bullshit that all men are guilty because of "TOXIC MASCULINITY". Watch that video....after HUNT is pulled away by a friend....the so called victim.....goes right after him probably tossing profanity at him......Isn't there a point where she should be held responsible for her actions? Again I'm not condoning violence but you've gotta look at both side of this....that girl certainly wasn't innocent in this whole picture. Whole situation is ridiculous but I don't like how men are automatically assumed guilty these days. There's two sides to every story.....gotta hear both sides before decisions are made.

^^^
Yep

Apparently the cops don't think he assaulted anyone.

You want to suspend him a couple games to send a message, fine. But cut him? That's ridiculous, especially when they have Tyreek Hill on the roster.

I hope a MeToo activist group smells the blood in the water and demand they cut Tyreek Hill

Yeah this blows my mind. Tyreek Hill was ******* convicted of felony domestic assault and the cops came here and didn't even think to press charges, and they cut this guy? And wait, because he lied to them? Just goes to show how important optics are in this racket.

Unless there is more to the story we don’t know yet... all nfl teams keep private investigators on retainer because players on a team are always being accused or involved in shitliterally **** we aren’t privy to.... maybe the chiefs know there are more severe allegations coming down the pike....

Once again, the NFL was way behind the court of public opinion. Just like the Ray Rice case, they had the tapes, and did NOTHING. This is on the league for again failing to take care of it before it was made public. Oh for 2 NFL. Will you ever learn? Nope...

And I will never make an excuse or try and defend any man that is willing to push, slap, and kick a woman, on the ground, in a defenseless position. Hunt is a piece of **** and deserves what he gets.

And NOPE, Hunt can not be picked up by anyone. The commish put him on the exempt list. He can not practice, participate in football activities, or attend games. So no chance of getting him, until the commish reinstates him.

btw - Kareem is one of the ******** who protested police brutality.
we can assume he has a different mindset when it comes to violence towards women.

It drives me nuts when people talk about optics. Basically what they are saying is your primary concern should be what other people think and not what's right.

Isn't that pretty much the exact opposite of every after school special ever made? Remember kids. Always do the right thing, unless people on twitter disagree, then just do whatever they say, cuz you know...optics.

And the kicker with this is these ******** who talk about optics have the nerve to be smarmy about it. As if doing whatever is easy is noble and intellectual choice.

Cutting Hunt (that just looks dirty as i read it back) is easy. What would be hard is saying that what Hunt did was wrong but they aren't going to give up on a guy for one mistake.

Oh I'm with you 100%, way too many hypocritical douchebags who wouldn't do or say half the **** they did simply because of the optics. Just do it because it's right, or don't do it because it's wrong, who really cares who's watching.

And Supe to your point about his stance on police brutality, seemed they were objective and fair in treating the entire incident, so I'm really wondering how he's felt about them ever since.

The media will be in a race to virtue signal on this one but all the headlines i read do not match the video. The headlines make it seem like he gave a vicious beating to a helpless woman.

The video shows a woman in his face and he shoves her away a few times. Maybe an overreaction, but there’s no audio either and we don’t know why he’s so pissed and why she keeps going at him. I think the shoves by themselves aren’t that bad.

Next you have the woman getting shoved hard into the wall. To me, that was an accident. Looks like several people were smartly holding Hunt back and he shoved one of them who then stumbled into the woman and she went flying.

Last you have the Kick. I was expecting to see him give her a real boot but is was more like he pushed her over with his foot. It seemed more of a final **** You gesture than an attempt to injure.

I notice the girl’s friend was filming the whole thing until one of Hunt’s friends snatched her phone and probably deleted the video. Maybe they went with the intent to provoke something?

I’m not excusing Hunt. He’ll probably get a game or 2 suspension because he did shove her when he could have just walked away. I’m just saying that what actually happened on the video does not rise to the level of mob justice outrage that is likely coming. There was no Ray Rice vicious punch but i have a feeling Hunt will be treated like he beat her senseless.
I would have agreed with this until the KICK...

Who really knows what was 'said' to provoke Hunt? Only the people that were there...

Unfortunately, KC didn't take our stance and they've released him.

I don't condone was Hunt did in the video but it's being blown out of proportion in the media.....saying things like "HE WENT BERZERK" and crap like that. The women wouldn't get out of his face.....yeah he knocked her down then pushed her to the floor with his foot. It's not like he tried to CURB STOMP her into the floor. I almost feel a little bit bothered by what is happening to him.....I don't think his actions in this incident warrant being CUT from the Chiefs roster. For god sake Ezekiel Elliot grabed a women's TIT in a public place and then laughed about it and I don't even recall if the NFL addressed that matter.....he was suspended on another issue. This incident IMO is completely being blown out of proportion.

The Commander-In-Chief says, "grab 'em in the *****"...go figure???

I admit I have not read the entire thread, but GTFO to the racial posts and comments.

My bottom line is he it appears he lied to his employer (the Chiefs) about this and his actions are not justified at all in any shape context or form. All he had to do was tell the truth and he gets 6 games and saves his career
I understand the argument that they signed Tyreek Hill and his past incident. I am not condoning Hills actions but he was not a Chiefs employee at the time.

The Chiefs by cutting him only make me respect their organization more. Been to Arrowhead several times as a Steel fan, never an issue at all, some of the most friendly fans towards away fans, which is not the issue in some NFL stadiums.

I don’t think it’s the action that got him released. Clearly the Chiefs are pissed regarding what he told them vs what actually happened. I don’t think the severity of the incident, or even “the optics”, are at play here. They are pissed that he lied to them

The Commander-In-Chief says, "grab 'em in the *****"...go figure???

How is this relevant?

I thought at first is this a reference to an "old" Bill Clinton remark but then I remembered that there was a "politics & religion" forum and maybe this got misprinted to "FOOTBALL ONLY". Forum.

Salute the nation

I am calling 4.

Buy or sell SN ?

I’m going with 6 that can be reduced to 4 with good behavior.

Did the nfl and the chiefs know about this prior to the video being shown?

I’m guessing yes and that essentially means that it takes a video to get an nfl team to react.

Commander in Chief could also imply the Chiefs head coach. Maybe Andy Reid grabbed him some ***** once.

Or it takes some actual proof and not just an accusation with different opinions on the truth. I'd rather not live in a society where my job or freedom is surrendered because someone accused me of something. Where have we seen this before?

ya, you're not going to be able to spin that too well. He was the aggressor. He pushed her twice, he caused the contact that lead to the guy knocking her down and THEN he kicks her.

Aint NO good way to spin that.
