Uh oh, Mayfield looks like the real deal

Well Derek Anderson had a career year for them under Ariens until the rest of the league got tape on him and he’s now an eternal backup

Mayfield looked good, no doubt. We'll see if they can sustain it.

I actually was happy for the fans, I just thought the atmosphere was kind of funny. Also the looks on the faces of the Jets players after being the ones to lose to the Browns. Just glad it wasn't us, though we came too damn close.
 
they now have a taste of victory and it's gooooood. For the diehards, that stuck with that joke of a franchise, good for them. They deserve some relief from the misery they have endured for 18 years.
 
last night, Baker Manzfield looked good. He made good decisions, got rid of the ball, bought himself time when the pass rush got close, and was leading the team.

you have to remember, the Browns are a young team. Johnny Mayfield is their age, so he can essentially lead them. It'd be different if they were a vet-laden team.
but, last night was last night.

So a guy who throws a nice tight spiral won't be as effective once it gets cold? Newsflash, moron, no QB is as effective when it's cold. Either a QB has an NFL arm or he doesn't. Mayfield does. My golden boy, lol. Could you be any more insecure?

I was reading the Jets board game thread, holy **** it was hilarious when things started going to ****. At the end they were comparing that epic embarrassment of Darnold losing to Mayfield to the Buttfumble!

And comparing Darnold to Sanchez! ha ha Can't sink any lower as the Jets make losing even more famous. Sammy has a wet noodle Pennington arm compared to Baker's tight spiral rocket.

The Bad

Sam Darnold: Let's get a few things out there. This was a ghastly performance by Darnold. He looked totally rattled. A high percentage of his passes that weren't screens looked like wounded ducks. The pass rush seemed to be in his head. This was about as bad of a performance as you will see. He was badly outplayed by fellow rookie Baker Mayfield.
 
I'm on the bus of "this kid is better than we thought he'd be"...as it was stated above, Tyrod looked like chyt and the Browns looked like an entirely different team w/ Mayfield at the helm...

Good for them. We need to be worried about Tampa and Tampa only right now.
 
Well, I bet on the Browns in my football pool, so it is all good.....

Who the fans worry about is really of little to no import. I figure if the Steelers are the better team, they will win Monday regardless of which jersey I wear, sock I put on first or team/player I discuss. My opinion of course, thought I’d share.
