Uh oh, Mayfield looks like the real deal

If the Browns had a decent kicker, they would be 3-0. Now they have what looks to be a very good QB. He made really nice high velocity throws, in the right place, really tight spirals. Landry tried a body catch - bounced off. Got his **** straight and made some nice catches. This kid is no joke and his receivers will only get better when they play more with him.

Yeah he looked good.... did a lot of little things right too. The pace he played at was impressive. He looked confident. Wasn't rattled at all. Remember Been coming in for the first time and thought.......hmmmm this guys gonna be good. Allen sucks, Darnold I think will be like maybe a Rivers lite or something......solid but not great. Mayfield looked tight. Oh and the black QB.... whatever his name is.....he will suck but not as bad as Allen. Allen is Leaf 2.0

Good times man, good times. One game (1/2 game) doesn't make a season or a career but that kid was throwing some really tight passes. Looked like he had been playing for years and the rest of the team picked it up several notches. They sure looked like the Same Old Browns before Mayfield came in.

Mayfield looked good against a D that was on the field the whole second half because Jets ****** OL which is bottom 3 in the league couldn’t move the ball.
Let’s see what he does against Rats and Chargers D in 2 and 3 weeks respectively

Mayfield will be mediocre at best and Darnold will be a star in his league once they fix the OL

I personally think Mayfield is going to be what the Browns hoped Manziel would be.
Hate to say it, but the Browns probably got their stuff together. They cut the unwanted distractions, I think Mayfield will actually mature in his pro career.

Now if the Steelers get their stuff together. The talent between these two teams should make for a fun, renewed rivalry
 
He looked more real than Manzel. This kid looked better than Daronld. Quick read and release and a nice arm. He could look like the second coming of Peyton Manning against the Steelers if they don’t solve their defensive woes.
 
They are still being coached by Hue Jackson are they not?
 
That game last night completely changed when he got in the game,...and it was not subtle. The Browns would not have a tie on their record had he started the season.
 
One win over the Jets and they're all acting like they won the Super Bowl. Funny and sad at the same time.

lol mayfield throws a MUCH better ball than darnold, as it now stands. maybe darnold's will improve, but at this point i doubt it. darnold has to be better with his decision-making, and he honestly, he needs better playcalling. but i get it, i get it, it's the browns, so "grrrrr must hate browns and put down anything they do grrrrrr". . .

I was commenting on them being anointed as all that, . Everyone knows how the Steelers struggle with bad teams, that is neither here nor there.

Still has no effect on how the clowns season will go. They could still beat the Steelers and suck.

The Browns are a football team that hasn't been laid in 635 days. Mayfield comes off the bench, down on points, and brings his team back with pinpoint passes, and the confidence of good veteran quarterback. Yes--the was the Jets on the road, the 3rd worst team in the NFL also playing a rookie QB. They also find ways to lose.

My main take away is Mayfield seems to have " it ".
