Don’t worry.
Facts are facts. Just so you’re aware, 10 years ago my job was 100% Economic Research & Projects during the “Great Recession”
Simple Cost/Benefit Analysis: if I were UCONN, I’m betting it’s not worth the expense.
Big Universities like Florida Gators—they won’t suspend jack ****. The pure financials of their last National Championship — the University lost $ (per the game overhead).
The NFL—chances of it shutting down are close to zero.
1. I can research enough to do the numbers without the seeing the real #s and get close to the mark of cost/benefit. The NFL Owners, who act as partners (not like MLB; who operate as separate entities), they’ll play.
2. Players can sit out. Bye [emoji112]. There’s gonna be someone else taking your place damn quick
3. COVID is now nothing but the Dems strategy to beat Trump. They’ll destroy the economy to do it, but be aware that the leagues biggest stars never speak out against Trump (cough LeBron cough) — and the data shows it’s peaked. Not over, but definitely trending down. Could break COVID data down more, but I’d bet on fans in stands by November.
Professional organizations are in business to make money, sometimes at short term losses to get long term gains.
