Kevin Adams of Barstoll Sports put up a billboard in Pittsburgh on the Blvd.of the Allies that reads. “The standard is mediocrity. Trade Tomlin or sell the team Rooney, we’ve had enough”.
That location for those not familiar with the city is a major corridor of the city.
I think Mikey T. Who lives in Squirrel Hill section of the city can’t miss it.
Never thought I’d see this stuff happen but people are pissed. Of course as Kevin states, he knows nothing will come of it but wanted to let people know how he feels.
I’d say most of us feel that way!

Anyone have pictures of it?

Art 2 will fix Us, he will move the team to Ireland. 1st full time NFL foreign team, he can have that as a Legacey.

Wouldn’t surprise me if he thought there was more money to be made, then what he is making here.

Love that someone is calling him out (both)

That’s funny.
They could be the Dublin Leprechauns or Rooney’s.

Thank you Kevin!!

Even if nothing comes of it, Rooney and Tomlin will know the depths at which Steeler fans are pissed off.

In the daytime.

They won't fire Tomlin but it's beginning of end. He won't see last year of contract because they won't renew and he won't coach as lame duck. Two more years. Two more years.

I could see this happening. I can also see Rooney letting him go end of season, should they collapse again. Fans start the “Fire” Tomlin chant at games and other venues.

Tomlin’s ego could go either way, not coach the lame duck season and show us……. Or arrogant enough to coach and run things further into the depths of mediocrity, and collect the 13.7 mil and laugh at us.

Our luck would be he wins the Super Bowl on the lame duck year and then we another 3-7 years.

Well that was a huge waste of money
Some Miami U fans thought advertising planes flying over the stadium was a waste of time but it influenced the HC firing….

Negative press might not be a deciding factor but it can’t hurt in giving them something to think about.

Not chants, but for the first time ever I heard fans very loudly "fire Tomlin" during the final game of the season both in the stands and in the concourses and restrooms after the game. The anger has shifted and I don't think it'll shift back without some crazy PR.

Tomlin most definitely needs to move on, no doubt but the bigger problem is with this Rooney. If ever there was such an owner who didn’t identify with their city, fans and Steeler lore it’s this guy.
The desire, strong passion to strive for championships just is not present with Art.
He’s too comfortable thus he’s created this entire atmosphere in Steelerland of comfort and loyalty to all to where it’s become a fault and it’s the theme in that building.
Coaches don’t get fired if they are under contract regardless of their quality of work. Stability whether they are doing a good job or not is more important.
The entire philosophy from ownership is scewed and so out of whack that they live in denial and don’t recognize when it’s broken.
I’m afraid boys we’re in for some more of the same until not only Tomlin is gone but the owner steps aside as well. Hope the son of Art sees things differently.

I believe all this will do is cause Tomlin to double down on his strategies... I believe all of this is playing out a bit like the Pens' Dan Bylsma saga did back in the day, though Tomlin is a much better coach than he was
If he doubles down the Steelers will look even worse. Go ahead Mike see how that works out for ya.

Ya know boys I don’t know how many of y’all were on this earth back in the early and mid sixties but that was a pretty dark time for Pittsburgh sports.
The Steelers were bad EVERY year, the Pirates aside from the improbable 1960 World Series win over the GREAT NY Yankees, the Pens previously known as the Hornets were all bad. We did have the Pipers in the latter part of the 60’s who won the ABA championship with the great Connie Hawkins, but it sucked for us Pittsburgh sports fans then.
I remember many s Sunday as a kid marching up Cardiac Hill to old Pitt Stafium siting on wooden bleachers watching my team get the hell beat out of them. Truely a dark period for sports then and it is the same now for me except I support those teams from afar now.
Very depressing off season and I cannot seem to look at the bright side of things for any of the teams. ******* Pirates continue to be a joke!

I don’t mean to whine or bring y’all down but I just haven’t felt this bummed about Pittsburgh sports in decades.
If someone asked me which of the three teams would win a championship first I’d answer none in my lifetime. That’s ******* sad when you see zero hope!

If Tomlin won another Super Bowl with the Steelers he could coach here till he was 75 for all I care. But that simply will not happen.

One fan putting his money where his mouth is. Big deal

Now, let a few dozen pop up ……..

Any press is good press.
