Tomlin vs Harbaugh.

Since Lamar started.
He's won 3 playoff games, Tomlin 0 including killing Tomlin.
He's won 3 division titles, Tomlin 1
He's been competitive in the playoffs vs the top tier teams/QB's, Tomlin has not, been outscored like 73-7 in the first quarter
He's been to and hosted an AFCCG, Tomlin has not.

I'm don't think Harbaugh is a HOF coach, but he's had more success than Tomlin recently, with the QB HE DRAFTED, and the one Tomlin skipped on.
The qb he drafted and developed. Who here honestly think that Lamar would have an O system built around him to help him develop?

Tomlin isn't developing ****.

Listening to the Fan this morning and Adam Crowley is talking about this, saying Harbaugh is more of a fraud than Tomlin, that Tomlin can out coach Harbaugh. It's homer radio at it's finest, totally ignoring the game last January, totally ignoring the fact that Baltimore's recent playoff losses have been to Allen twice, Mahomes, and Burrows, and all one score games, we can't even be competitive in a post season game.
Ripping Harbaugh for not giving Henry the ball in NE and that was an idiotic move for sure, but doesn't even bring up Tomlin facing he number 1 ranked pass defense with the best pass rusher and we threw the ball 39 times in the wind and rain.

Can't stand the Homerism when this team hasn't won a damn thing in a decade.
Lol on the 105.7 the fan today, everyone was talking about how Tomlin always out coaches Harbs.

They hate Harbaugh hear and think Tomlin's the superior coach.. go figure.

First of all, no HC has full autonomy over every aspect of the team.

If one did then what's the role of the owner? The GM?

Let's go back to root cause analysis, again - both organizations are where they are because of the owner's decisions.

Until their risk appetite is fouled - they'll stick it out with both HCs...

Ok. Carry on with the bashfest.

There is so much contradiction going on and holes you can poke into the accusations made against Tomlin.

But don’t get me wrong, I enjoy it.
I don’t get upset at those who bash or support Tomlin. It’s all entertainment to me.

I think you are discounting the QB he has had. Harbaugh has had an MVP and still has barely won more than Tomlin. Take away Lamar and Harbaugh would have been fired years ago.
Tomlin had Roethlisberger forever and still managed to do virtually nothing. Aside from hiring coordinators who installed offenses that no quarterback can run successfully.

I agree 100 percent they chose to keep a mediocre component in tow. Rooney gets full blame for keeping Mike on past his expiration date.

😀

OC: Arians, Haley, Fichtner, Canada, Smith
Arians, Haley, and Smith all had head coaching pedigree (Arians at Temple). Fichtner and Canada were out of football after leaving the Steelers. Quit hiring coordinators no other teams would hire.

DC: LeBeau, Butler, Austin
Massive downhill slide in quality. Butler was done after Pittsburgh and odds are, Austin will never be a DC again. He can get a job as a positional coach, but again, the Steelers hire guys no one else wants.

He had them damn close a couple times. Tomlin had his issues, but Ben also had some issues. The competition also had something to say.
Most teams aside from the Cheatriots struggle the longer they have a franchise QB and salary cap issues strip more and more depth from the team.
As much as we blame Tomlin, we can also blame the GM for not doing a better job in the draft to keep the depth up. If we had someone as aggressive in the draft and market then as we do now, we may have won another one or two.

Once since their Super Bowl loss and it was a depleted roster against the Patriots. Only 2 seasons with a playoff win in the past 15 years. We really haven't been close.

If we didn't have a defensive head coach whose defense gets shredded in the playoffs on the regular, including to guys like Tebow, Garrard, Mayfield, and Bortles we may have won a couple more.

Ahhhhh…..so there is a chance for Coach DeBoer after all. He did win a playoff game against a team ranked higher, and lost to the #1 team in College football as heavy, underdogs. All accomplished in only his second season. With a good won - loss regular season record against quality opponents. The future is bright!! Contract extension!

Someone remind me the last time the Steelers won a playoff game or were competitive.

And Noll skipped Dan Marino and Cowher skipped Tom Brady (about 6 times). I'm pretty sure those two guys are way better than Lamar and Hurts.
Brady landed in the perfect situation. He wasn't going to have that type of career anywhere else.

The entire league skipped on Brady, obviously nobody saw that coming. Skipping on Marino was borderline criminal, though.

Yeah.....and Tomlin road Ben in his early years and the Tomlinized him for the rest. Unfortunately.

That and having to overcome the Tomlin system took its toll.

Ben’s last season here he came back 7 times for wins, that’s not Ben not being able to QB, that’s overcoming the Tomlin scheme.

Salute the nation

Yes he does, the radio show host seemed to put more stock in that, than what happened last January where we got totally embarrassed on an historic level. Says Harbaugh has been more of a fraud because he hasn't won a Super Bowl with Lamar, but he's still actually won a playoff game recently, killed Tomlin, lost by two in Buffalo last year, lost to Mahomes, and Burrow in competitive games, while Tomlin's post season games are over after 1 quarter.
I think it's time for both to move on, but the Homerism towards Tomlin kills me.

It's ******* pathetic. I won't even address it with some fans who treat the team like it's the Pittsburgh Tomlins.

The coach worship **** is ridiculous. Not after the last decade.
