So running when you have a lead and the other team knows you are running and you are successful doesn't mean anything? So by using that logic the no huddle in the 4th should mean Jack **** to you. Because obviously the Ravens weren't playing the same defense

The Ravens couldn't play the same defense because we spread the field out with 3WR sets. That is the whole point, you adjust based on what the game dictates. We went to our 3TE set in Washington after we built up a lead to try and milk the clock. The Redskins had to respect the pass because Ben torched them all game long. The passing game helped open up the running game, especially late in the game.

Do you watch games cause of you did you would know the 3-4 isn't outer base defense and hasn't been for a couple of years now.

We played over 2/3 of our defense yesterday in the 3/4 instead of the idiotic 2 DL set that Butler has been using.

This is where I give credit to Tomlin, I think he may have finally realized that trying to stop the run with 2 DLinemen isn't going to work very often. you end up with 300lb Olinemen shoving your 240LB LB's all over the field.

running out of the 3 TE set is such garbage, not one of them can block, and if you have 5 OLinemen, 3TE's and 1 RB, and a QB, that leaves you one WR to split out. So that means pretty much Baltimore could really stack the LOS with as many guys as they wanted, and not one of our damn TE's are very good at blocking, is it really a surprise that that didn't work?

3 WR's spreads the defense out, gives the QB a better pre-snap read since Bmore can't crowd the LOS as easily. It's really not that complicated.

They ran multiple spread sets also. The first play of the game was empty wasn't it? Incomplete

What about when our defense craps out and puts us in a hole so that the offense has to become one dimensional. Pretty much sums up the Eagles game where we made Wentz look like Unitas.

I still would expect this offense to be able to put up more than 3 ******* points. Would you not agree?

And again there is no audible to get out of this. You say they can't run block so audible to a pass. Cause I remember hearing and seeing on this board that our TEs are OK. Don't need Green at all cause the we set already. So if the Ravens are matching up against out heavy look audible. Surely our TEs can beat a linebacker

Oh so going to 3DL is a match up? Because admitting the 2 DL scheme wasn't working would be a negative towards Tomlin? If it's a matchup thing, then answer this simple question, why then in the early parts of the game when Baltimore had short yardage personnel in were we still trying the 2DL formation?

Or better yet last season in Baltimore, we were trailing in the 4th, Baltimore had the ball and the lead, trying to kill clock and we still had that **** 2 DL group out there?

The Pens had their WBS system to tap into. The Steelers don't have quality back ups that are prepared to play it seems. I don't think even Haley would fix the season. I try to be optimistic. But I don't see this Steelers team sniffing the playoffs
