Time to Vent - Can't Stand to Watch Anymore of the Tomlin Era

This team is soft, undisciplined, no heart, no defense, no ability to finish anything.

Keith Butler and Mike Tomlin should be required to wear those pink vagina hats for the #MeToo protest marches.

Being a Pittsburgh Steeler no longer has the meaning it did for most of my life. I miss the days when teams feared playing in Pittsburgh. They no longer do.
 
I dont know about fear but I could live with adjustments. They have two offensive players. Allen and the William's guy and you cannot stop them. Duck on that critical third down where Hargrave came up the middle he was completely uncovered.
 
Butler and that ST coach needs canned today.
 
Agreed. How you let their best WR roam free on LBs all game long just killing us death by 1000 cuts like the old Br*dy games? How many times does Tomlin need to see that movie before he tries something different? If we're not going to "Green Bay" this thing, at least get rid of Butler and Smith. This is ******* disgraceful.
 
And every ****** down Bud Dupree goes 7 steps outside. You piece of **** this isn't Russle Wilson or Jackson from Ravens. He's not going to break your contain. Like why would you watch him continue to do that.

It's entirely possible they don't get to that 8th win this year.

Oakland will undoubtedly beat them. They always do.
Cheaters will destroy them.
The Bengals will beat them because it's a division rivalry and they hate the Steelers.
The Saints could play the entire game with their backups and STILL hang 42 on this defense.

I would not be surprised at ALL if the Steelers don't make it to 8 wins.

Not a Tomlin fan, but his comment at the PG presser was classic. "I'm not commenting on that. I've already sent enough money to New York."

This league sucks. Done for this year. Let me know how you all enjoy the one-and-done playoff game, if we make it.
 
The reality is that Harbaugh was on his way to be fired. Their defense looked broke. But guess what. They fixed it. This ************ can fix nothing or adjust nothing. All he has is snappy one liners and Ben on a good day. He is supposed to be a defensive coach. I dont like Bradshaw a hell of a lot but you know what. He is right.
 
Tomlin doesn't fix ****. He just wants his guys to do the same ****, but better. This defense goes as far as its talent takes it, no matter what. Period, the end. And there's not much talent on it. They are not helped by their scheme in any way, only hurt. I would argue the offensive scheme has helped this year - Fichtner has been money. Haley's scheme relied too much on the talent just being better, but Fichtner actually tries to be smart and scheme guys open. But the defensive coaches just hang the players out to dry. If they make plays we win, if they don't we lose. How the **** do you put a MLB on a Pro Bowl WR all game long and expect anything but a lashing?

If the Ravens actually stupidly follow through on that, I'd take him in a ******* heartbeat. I can't stand his whiny *** as a person, but he outcoaches Tomlin regularly and has been severely held back by lack of talent on offense/QB

I am with you. I cannot take it anymore. I have watched this team waste good talent year after year after year. Lets look at this year. You lose tonight at home when up by 16. Last week you lose to an inferior team blowing another lead. Earlier in the season you lose to a mediocre Baltimore team at home. And to start the season you tie a Tyrod Taylor led Browns team. If the coach finds a way to win just two of those four games then this game is a blip on the radar. I think Belichik, Harbaugh, Sean Payton, and a few of the other top coaches find ways to win games they shouldn't, but they all win the games they should. Tomlin never does.

On that last 3rd down pass to Keenan Allen, I feared a stroke when I saw 51 chasing after him. Bostic looked like an old lady running down a teenager who just snatched her purse.

We lose on scheme - every week.

Remember when we had TJ Watt covering Tyreke Hill in the KC game? Yeah that went for 50 and a score.

The national media knows Tomlin isn't a good coach. If you listen to Mad Dog sports radio on Serius, everyone on there says he's done a terrible job with this team. Only 1 SB with a future HOF QB is downright bad. Outside of Pittsburgh, no one thought this team had a chance to ever sniff the SB this year. They were correct.

Listening to Stan Savran and Charlie Batch....

Mike Hilton said they got caught in that coverage many times tonight and couldn't get out. Batch said that's on coaching for not adjusting.
