The Rams are an interesting team. On the one hand, everyone is touting their D, specifically their DL. And that's good, but stats tell a different story. Yes they beat the Seattle Seahawks, a team that they match up very well against. But they also gave up 31 points to them. This week, they played the Redskins, who are about as one dimensional as you can be as a football team, and got RAN OVER! Their offense is still in the works, they have some weapons, but haven't quite put everything together yet.
Aaron Donald is a player to watch for sure, he had two sacks against Seattle, but a lot of that had to do with Seattle adjusting to a new center (traded their starter in the Jimmy Graham deal). And their D line is their strong point, but we aren't talking about an unbeatable defense that doesn't give up a lot of yards or points. Their offense isn't built to score points in bunches, if we jump on them early, it's going to be tough sledding for them. If we stay balanced on offense, that DL isn't going to be able to pin their ears back and go after Ben.
They had 6 sacks against Seattle, but only 2 against the Redskins. Staying balanced on Offense is key. As always, ending drives in TD's instead of FG's, but getting up on them early could put the game away early like this past week. The offense is clicking, the Defense showed signs of potential. We SHOULD win this game.
