Let's move on from the way down and way up weeks to week 3 and our next opponent, the St. Louis Rams. We get LeVeon (corrected) Bell back.

How much does he play? Do you alternate him with Deangelo Williams? Or use a two back set?

Who's LeVean???
Well, according to Deangelo Williams, "You know what I feel good about? Help is on the way. Le'Veon Bell, the young bull, coming back. There's no one more excited than I am because I know how special he is and the talent that he brings to this table and how defenses have to strategize not only against our pass game and our run game, but they got to account for Le'Veon Bell as well ... I can't wait until he gets back."

Rams game will be a very tough test for this Steelers football team. They have a good defense and will test this high octane offense of ours. I'd say we can't kick FG's when we get to the red zone but we can't kick FG's anyway. I also think we'll see if our defense continues to make progress from yesterday's game against the Rams who have some playmakers. Tough test in St.Louis so don't get too down if they can't come away with the W. This team has made significant progress under Jeff Fisher and could be a playoff team this year. Not a good raod team as witnessed by that loss to Redskins yesterday but tough as nails at home.

Bell will return to the backfield. I think you could see some two set backfields with Bell becoming more of a receiving threat. Could happen.

My guess is Bell will get about 15 carries or so and a few receptions in this one before being unleashed the following week. Let him get his legs back.

The Rams are an interesting team. On the one hand, everyone is touting their D, specifically their DL. And that's good, but stats tell a different story. Yes they beat the Seattle Seahawks, a team that they match up very well against. But they also gave up 31 points to them. This week, they played the Redskins, who are about as one dimensional as you can be as a football team, and got RAN OVER! Their offense is still in the works, they have some weapons, but haven't quite put everything together yet.

Aaron Donald is a player to watch for sure, he had two sacks against Seattle, but a lot of that had to do with Seattle adjusting to a new center (traded their starter in the Jimmy Graham deal). And their D line is their strong point, but we aren't talking about an unbeatable defense that doesn't give up a lot of yards or points. Their offense isn't built to score points in bunches, if we jump on them early, it's going to be tough sledding for them. If we stay balanced on offense, that DL isn't going to be able to pin their ears back and go after Ben.

They had 6 sacks against Seattle, but only 2 against the Redskins. Staying balanced on Offense is key. As always, ending drives in TD's instead of FG's, but getting up on them early could put the game away early like this past week. The offense is clicking, the Defense showed signs of potential. We SHOULD win this game.

Well, whether we win or lose, I can at least feel good knowing that the Steelers aren't likely to be this season's team that St Louis annihilates by 4 TD's or more. Seems like every season, Rams have a game where they just beat the piss out of the other team. With our offense, that team damn sho' wont be us......(i pray)

steelhurt, agree with your analysis. Jeff Fisher ALWAYS gave us a tough time and I'm sure he will have his team prepared. I hope and think Coach Tomlin will also.

I hate playing in St.Louis. The last trip there in 2007 spelled the beginning of the end for Willie Parker with that gdamn Astroturf. It might be the worst field to play on in the NFL. Here to an injury free game and a Steelers victory!

They lost to the foreskins and are stinging from the embarrassment. They will be pissed off and playing at home. Not a good situation for us, but if we play like we did sunday we will win.

Who's LeVean???

Isn't that the singer from Maroon 5? Adam LeVean or some shiz like that. My thoughts on the Rams game? I think if the defense plays like how they did against the 9ers. The steelers can dominate in all aspects of the game. The rams d line is pretty good. But I think the Steelers can win in the trenches on both sides of the ball. On paper. Should be an easy game. Team just needs to show up

So id say it is time to show the home of the "greatest show on turf" what the "greatest show on grass" (yes with Bell and Bryant it fits) can do on turf... I say put up 80 on them and walk away smiling

I think because the Redskins ran on them, you test it with our one two punch of Bell and Williams.

On O they aren't the Patriots, they might not even be the 49ers.

They are at home and that will make it a tougher matchup.

Should be a fun game to watch..........

I was really worried about this game going into the latest week, but after seeing how the Rams performed against a weak Redskins team, I kind of feel like this is the Steelers game to lose.

Protect Roehlisberger and tackle well (prevent the big play), and it should be a relatively easy win.

However, the Rams have a great defensive front. Beachum may very well earn that money he believes he's worth on Sunday.

I was very disappointed in the Rams. I thought they'd be better. Their offense sucks *** and their defense isn't that much better. I understand they were on the road but the redskins aren't a contender. However they do play better at home so who knows.

Rams play tough defense. Their front 7 is stout. I think if we take care of the football and get a lead on them we will be able to do what we did against San Francisco. They have some speed with Austin so our special teams needs to wrap him up or kick away from him and on defense we need to not let him get behind the secondary. If we can hit Foles like we hit Kap it will change the game. Gurley playing this week could be interesting but our linebackers just played a fantastic ******* game against the run, let me add so did our secondary and DL. Total team effort on D with 1 real bad play (the Smith bomb TD).

So our headsets should be good???? !!!!!!!!!!!

I think its a winnable game, but the rams will be fired up after their stinker in D.C. Steelers better bring it

if we win this one it will show that we are ready to play tough on the road. The bubble screens set up worked perfectly for those long throws, keep them Rams guessing too Haley, good work

I hope Tomlin uses Williams quite a bit and let Bell work his way into plying mode.
