This was the story on ESPN radio as im driving home.

Apparently the refs in tonights monday night game are all black.

Is this the goal. Did we end racism, like the slogan in the endzone requests?

What now? Is there another agenda?

Wondering.

lol your thread title made me think of the opening to the wayans brothers show from the late 90's

Lol yes racism is ending every time something like this achieved.. now if we can just get all coaching staffs to be black and GMs. Once that’s accomplished, owners can be discussed.

I just wanna know why AB is wearing white socks and the rest of the team is wearing black socks.

What Coolie said. And I think most fair-minded people would agree. BTW my ******* stepdad's name is Gary. So **** every Gary with a red hot poker or prickly cactus, whichever is in the nearer vicinity.

(Anyone here named Gary please realize that's really a joke and don't take offense)

And also BTW, when I read the thread title, I really thought they were all actual brothers. Like Larry, his brother Darryl, and his other brother Darryl.

i don't care if the refs are all white, black, gay, female, alien or named Gary....just ******* know the rules and call the game fairly

Quit being racist.

Supe is probably gonna want to talk to you.

I think white people should be phased out of the nfl. From the owners , to the players, all the way down to the hotdog vendors. This is the only way to end racism.

Maybe all the white fans will get smart stop going.. For some reason it is important to lecture each week the fans from an organization that does not clean up its own house from the thugs. Never saw any of this color based anything while watching the NFL that is until now. .

Unfortunately, it’ll probably get worse and worse every year with the social justice stuff. When Ben is done playing, I may retire from the NFL as well. The NFL product isn’t getting any better, it won’t be hard to walk away from.

Was it? Dang I missed the whole walking arm in arm thing accross the bridge moment.

Sure it was ...

I compare it favorably to baseball first all black line-up

Pittsburgh Pirates
9/1/71

Rennie Stennett (second base)
Gene Clines (center field)
Roberto Clemente (right field)
Willie Stargell (left field)
Manny Sanguillen (catcher)
Dave Cash (third base)
Al Oliver (first base)
Jackie Hernandez (shortstop)
Dock Ellis (pitcher)

Sorry. The bigger question is did you ever see thru this lens in the past??? Probably not the right forum for this discussion...

It wasn't for me. And that's the problem. Not because I don't notice, but because you make it a milestone which you surpassed years ago.

Somewhere, out there, you made a snail very upset.

Wakanda!!! Seriously though, it was a historical moment for us. Thank you NFL.

I'm not sure I understand why this was historical or an achievement. The guys do a job. Why is their skin color relevant?
Do we celebrate the first black janitor, chef, mechanic, bus driver, CEO, analyst, foreman, cashier, etc?

If we're going to do this, should we also celebrate the first historical Robert who's not a ***********, numbers-crunching, bean-counting, wet-cardboard-personality *******?

Anytime a "first" happens it's more than likely considered a milestone event...
no matter the reason..

First man on the moon = milestone event...
First woman on the Supreme Court = milestone event.
