The Plan at Offensive Line

Pouncey had an ugly stretch early in his career, but youre right. He's shaped up and settled down the last few yrs.

Dotson will get an opportunity if someone gets hurt. That is the nature of football. But not until that happens. He is not going to beat out Wisniewski. If they had an interior injury among the three, they would probably shuffle starters around and play Okorafor long before they would insert the rook.

Decastro was the exception not the norm. Wisniewski is probably a back up too.

Hawks released DJ Fluker. He is still only 29 might be worth a look

The thing I always like about these kinda arguements is the what about........ what about Foster. Well what about all these other ****** guys who never did anything who you are not naming. What about AB he was a 5th rounder. Well what about all the other guys who are either in the CFL were in the XFL or are out of football. The one thing I would say Dotson has is opportunity. They are paper thin inside. If they don't add a more experienced player after cuts he could end up on the field by attrition. Without rookie mini camp. OTA's etc. It will be very difficult for a rookie Oline.

Wis can step right in a LG and Feiler can stay at RT and the Oline will be just good as it was last year, the return of Ben will make the Oline alot better too.
Pouncey still has a few more good seasons. With the QB situation last year, the entire offense as going to look blah.

'member when we gave Mike Golic's kid a shot. I think it'd be nice to at least take a look at Bruno's great nephew, Couldn't hurt:

Makes me think of a certain Olineman that was a damn good wrestler before getting drafted.

You're writing off Dotson before he even has a chance to suit up?

And JMHO, but DeCastro isn't moving anywhere. Now SW, Chuks and Feiler, that's a question mark and will be interesting to see how that plays out. I liked Feiler at RT so Al, SW, Pouncey, DD & Feiler seems ideal to me. Actually I don't know much about Wisniewski, can he play LG?

Gonna be no rookie camp this year, no OTAs. The rookie class is going to be way behind where they typically could be.

Very good point but we know there will be coaching outlines and directives. Perhaps some virtual training/education. You would think regardless they would be behind the eight-ball out of the gates.
