Sarge, I'm not here to convince you of anything, or defend my views. Not at this stage after all that's been said and done. These past three years speaks for itself. If you choose to ignore or explain away Trump's transgressions that's your choice. The fact he welcomed foreign interference into our elections, and continues to do so; the fact he constantly lies to the American people on a daily basis; the fact he runs a shadow foreign policy - full of bribes and extortion - to undermine national interests in pursuit of his own. He's been impeachable from the beginning, when he paid off porn stars to stay quiet two weeks before the election. And he's even more impeachable ever since, with constantly accumulating misdeeds just adding to the overall **** list. To impeach a President is not an issue of criminality and never has been. It's simply abusing the power of his office, misleading the country with constant lies and deceits, breaking his basic oath of office. He has done all of that 50x over since he stepped into the WH.
I don't want you to convince me of anything. I just keep hearing how he is a threat to the "pillars of our democracy", and for my part, I still haven't heard how.
Now to address your points....
Inviting foreign interference into our election. What foreign interference did he welcome into our election? Are you talking about when he said Russia should find Hillary's e-mails? I hope that's not it. And doing it still? Are you talking about investigating Biden and Obama holding up $1 billion in aid to Ukraine until a prosecutor investigating Burisma was fired? Oh I know, he was soliciting interference to get dirt on a political rival. That's how it was framed. My bad.
Lying to the American people. Lying isn't an impeachable offense. If it was, we wouldn't have a politician with more than a few months of service at most, and no president would have finished his term.
A shadow foreign policy. First I heard of this. Who has he bribed and extorted, specifically?
Paying porn stars to be quiet is not impeachable. It's not a crime, and he was neither the President, VP or any civil officer of the United States. You can't impeach somebody for something they did before they held office. You just can't. It's called non-disclosure, happens all the time, and why does anyone care who the president ******? You don't have to like it, hell you can even be indignant about it. But you can't do anything about it.
And I don't need you to explain that impeachment isn't about criminality. But it also isn't about mean stuff that we don't like, calling Rosie O'Donnel fat or Hillary won the popular vote. To this point, all I see is a leftist tantrum, three years running, with no end in sight. So what are you guys gonna do when impeachment fails? Move on to assassination? It's about all you guys have left.
