Anyone involved in vandalism should be prosecuted properly whether it is BLM, J6, the pool etc etc.... They are all separate instances and comparing them just resorts to whataboutism. In the Hearn case it's was clear they had no real evidence. They had him on camera and he was not in / near the water long enough among other things. Anyone involved in the phony prosecution should be looked at. For trump to keep up the charade after this "new" evidence along with the fact there was no evidence of gashes after draining the pool is comical. If Trump had just said from the get go that we tried an experimental procedure on the pool and it didn't work out, that would have been the end of it. I don't know if he is trying to create a false narrative for distraction, ego, or if he is really that delusional. He does seems to be getting wilder and more erratic with his remarks in general which doesn't bode well for the final couple years. I just hope he doesn't damage the party where the repubs can't win because I can't imagine the dems putting out a good candidate.

While stuff like this surely doesn’t help, Republicans are doing plenty of damage themselves because they do nothing but bicker and squabble amongst themselves instead of doing anything meaningful for the American people. It’s been like this for the last several election cycles. At some point, just being not a democrat isn’t going to be good enough.

It's what our 2-party system has turned into. The Republicans can't agree on anything, I honestly wonder who owns Thune, and the Democrats have no platform, but they all agree that they hate Trump, or the next Republican in line.

Apparently 1) Thune was a Democrat before he ran for office* and 2) he takes a lot of "campaign donations" from lobbying groups representing assorted industries known to employ illegal immigrants.

* On a related note, I have it on good authority from a friend who knows him that Sen. Fetterman was a registered Republican before he ran for mayor of Braddock.
