I hope I don't regret responding to this.

The wisdom of our founding fathers put in place the securing of the God given right to own weapons that kill bad guys as needed. You bet your bippy that I would take mine up (too bad I lost them all in the boat accident though) and defend every last blade of grass, and be there long before the military or LEO shows up.

And, I hope we would actually gain land. I would love central and western Canada to enjoy our freedoms under the Stars and Strips.

Was Trump publicly rude to Zelenskyy or Putin?
Did Trump tell Putin he didn’t hold any cards?
Did Putin have to concede anything to be granted a summit?
The terms MAY have favored Zelenskyy? They damn well better favor Zelenskyy. Trump should have met privately with Zelenskyy and told Putin he might meet with him depending on how that meeting went.

Trump did say he would end the war immediately if elected and even before he took office. Obviously that was an idiotic claim. Putin will do what Putin wants regardless of who is in office. If Russia just withdraws everything Putin will look weak and Russia will have gained nothing. Ukraine is not going to want to give up its land. If Mexico invaded Texas we would not just be like "sure you can have it." The only way I see Russia conceding anything is if they are able to join NATO and get some kinda $$$$ package. If we do that then we are just encouraging aggressive behavior. I dont see this war ending anytime soon. Neither side is going to give in and we are wasting too many resources for something totally out of our control (short of the USA attacking Russia directly). We should just wash our hands of it and if they want peace they will figure it out eventually.

Bottom line is Trump is saying more than "dont" and doing more than nothing.

Unfortunately, other countries our directly involved. Let Ukraine go it alone and see how long they would hold up. Maybe they would lose the entire country instead of certain areas that identify Russian.

In return for Putin ending his invasion, Ukraine must give up territory is utter bullshit.

Rewarding the invaders of a sovereign nation. That has never been what this country is about.

**** Ukraine at least that's how i feel about it. our government is funneling hundreds of billions of dollars into that **** hole and I don't remember them giving me a vote on it. even though I am not on board with forgiving student loans isn't that the reason they gave for not forgiving them. "we are no longer going to saddle the American people with billions of dollars in taxes in which they had no say in" same ****.

Also let me lay this out. If Texas decided tomorrow that **** it we no longer are a part of the USA, do you think that this government would just say well okay I guess it will be alright? Hell no they would go in and take Texas back by force, (if they could) now lets say China or Russia started supplying Texas with munitions and Money, do you think that this government would say well that's OK? **** no we would consider that as an act of war on our country.

Ukraine was Russia's, they decided to break away now Russia say's **** that we want you back. How does that differ from the Texas scenario?

So for me, unless Russia goes after Poland or Germany ECT. I say let them figure it out I am tired of this country **** ing spending money on **** that does not affect us. All our tax money has done is make Zelinsky very rich and putting millions into the pockets of our own crooked politicians.

Last fall, damn near a year ago, he said he would end the war in ONE DAY. His followers cheered. Two days ago, and damn near seven months into his term, he flew a stealth bomber over Putin’s head. His followers cheered. Nothing has been accomplished. He blames Biden, not Putin, for the war. Inexplicably, with the supposed cause removed, he can’t end it. Failure.

There’s ideology and there’s reality. Only reality matters.

They cheered partly because he’s proven himself to be driven to do what he says he’s gonna do, and partly because they felt he could do it.

You’re indulging in hyperbole.
Painting this as a catastrophic outcome and major fail only because he couldn’t get it done in 24 hours is because you haven’t got much else to nail him on. Sadly for you the tariffs are not as disastrous as you people said they would be.

Funny thing about the word “fail”. “Fail” is always a negative sounding word and unrelenting. It doesn’t discriminate.
It applies the same to a person who fails due to laziness and lack of preparation…as well to a person having prepared well and did their best…ask a rookie who failed to make the cut.

So did Trump guarantee a resolution in 24 hrs. or did he predict a resolution in 24 hrs.?
