I hope I don't regret responding to this.

The wisdom of our founding fathers put in place the securing of the God given right to own weapons that kill bad guys as needed. You bet your bippy that I would take mine up (too bad I lost them all in the boat accident though) and defend every last blade of grass, and be there long before the military or LEO shows up.

And, I hope we would actually gain land. I would love central and western Canada to enjoy our freedoms under the Stars and Strips.

Was Trump publicly rude to Zelenskyy or Putin?
Did Trump tell Putin he didn’t hold any cards?
Did Putin have to concede anything to be granted a summit?
The terms MAY have favored Zelenskyy? They damn well better favor Zelenskyy. Trump should have met privately with Zelenskyy and told Putin he might meet with him depending on how that meeting went.

Trump did say he would end the war immediately if elected and even before he took office. Obviously that was an idiotic claim. Putin will do what Putin wants regardless of who is in office. If Russia just withdraws everything Putin will look weak and Russia will have gained nothing. Ukraine is not going to want to give up its land. If Mexico invaded Texas we would not just be like "sure you can have it." The only way I see Russia conceding anything is if they are able to join NATO and get some kinda $$$$ package. If we do that then we are just encouraging aggressive behavior. I dont see this war ending anytime soon. Neither side is going to give in and we are wasting too many resources for something totally out of our control (short of the USA attacking Russia directly). We should just wash our hands of it and if they want peace they will figure it out eventually.

There has been alot worse "idiotic claims" on the campaign trail.
Bottom line is Trump is saying more than "dont" and doing more than nothing.

Unfortunately, other countries our directly involved. Let Ukraine go it alone and see how long they would hold up. Maybe they would lose the entire country instead of certain areas that identify Russian.
