The Official Thread Dedicated to "Trump Winning"

I work a ton of OT , now I get to bring it home instead of them taxing the crap out of it.
I don't think that's how this bill is gonna work. they are still going to tax your OT in your paycheck but allow you to take a deduction on your taxes.

lets say you make 5000.00 in over time for the year and come tax time your TAXABLE income after deductions is down to 50 grand and lets say you are in the 22% tax bracket.
well they are going yo allow you to take an extra 5 grand off your TAXABLE income which means you are saving paying 22% tax on that 5 grand which will equate to putting about 1100 of that 5 grand back into your pocket if you are in the 12% tax bracket it will be even less.

at least that is how I read the bill and how most economist are explaining it.

I am at a point in my life where I don't believe a damn word any of these **** suckers in politics say.

As a conservative I hate that we raised the debt ceiling 5 TRILLION dollars and that the bill will add 3.9 TRILLION to our national debt. there was a reason Trump was pushing so hard to get this rushed thru. all this bill did was add to the ever growing burden our children and our Grand children are going to have to bare.

What they're not factoring in is the influx of new investment commitments and tariff revenue.

I see the objective. Start producing more. Which needs to be done. The independence from foreign countries we rely on for far too many critical things.

Many of those things are from China and they're not our friends,no matter how much Xi fake smiles.

We're probably screwed no matter what, but it's a last shot at advancing us away from implosion.

We're certainly not going to get any help from the demoncrats. They're still hell bent on fundamentally changing the country and permanent power, which is getting smashed to bits by ICE. So much for that new voting block.

THIS 1000x. I have been saying this for years and years. we produce hardly **** in this country anymore. we have a ton of factory's that are just sitting there idle. I remember when you could buy American made. I graduated in 1979 in MI. the auto industry and cereal industry were booming up to about a year after I graduated and then the bottom fell out. I remember when I graduated I worked for a model A and model T car replica company I was making close to 25 bucks an hour with bonus money man I thought I was on top of the world.

It seemed like it was over night when the jobs started leaving. Now when I go back to MI what use to be American factory's are now Japanese and Chinese and any other nese that could get their hooks into the state.

The thing that really pisses me off is not pushing the no tax on social security thru. social security and medicare ARE **** ing taxes and to pay tax on it is crazy. Thank you Ronald Reagan.

To use the cop out that the only way to keep social security solvent is to tax it is a **** ing joke.

If Republicans were really trying to right the ship they would get onboard with single action bills. These would allow for those who want the country to fail to be put on record without using parts of the bigger bill as a way to spin their votes.

Start with 10 single action bills, no adding to them, debate then vote.
1. Eliminate any FEDERAL medicaid support for illegals
2. Eliminate any FEDERAL support of any kind to illegals
3. Eliminate FEDERAL income taxes for individuals up to $60,000
4. Eliminate FEDERAL income taxes on ALL overtime pay for individuals, business matches still apply.
5. Complete the southern border wall and security
6. Implement a Non citizenship residency program for all illegals here prior to Jan 20 2021
7. Eliminate birth right citizenship
8. Mandatory Voter ID for all FEDERAL elections
9. Mandate US Census categories for Non citizens, do not allow those numbers to count towards FEDERAL representation in the US House
10. Deploy US military to enforce the southern border security.

Deal with these 10 bills then move on to others.

Dontchya think that Musk had access to all the best minds and financial guys that MAGA/Trump might have, and his own folks, and the DOGE folks, and run some projections before he lost his shiit publicly, twice?

This feels all Hopey Changy just with the folks on the other side of the seesaw. $3.3 T is a fuckton of dough to be short....

Might want to read it again. The last bill only exempted $7500 in overtime from taxes.
Last one I read was 12,500. Doesn’t matter if it is $1000 or $12,500. It is more today than it was yesterday. Same for tips. I bet you complain that your ice cream is too cold. Keep on winning Trump.

That’s the way I understand it also. I make around 50,000 in OT so I’m more worried about what the limits are. Anyway you cut it I will get more of the money I earn.

That'd be great if they weren't all on the same team.

I got an email from SSA stating with the passage of this bill, 90% of the SSA beneficiaries wouldn't have to pay taxes on their dead spouse's benefits.

I actually agree with zero tax on all overtime wages. I was just making you aware of the changes they made to get it to pass.

I am 100% against tips being tax free. Why should one subset group be treated differently then everyone else? What makes a server so special they should get tax free wages but someone else making the same money has to pay?

I agree with this. These huge bills are ridiculous. There is always some BS stuck in there that has 0 to do with the main bill. Single bills would also be much quicker to process.

This was one of the participants in our annual light parade last night. Mostly decorated side by sides, about 150-200 in all despite rain that continued through the staging but stopped at 8 PM when we moved out. Lots of families lining the streets for the 2 hour trip through our little mountain town.
