Florida Department of Environmental Protection officials have been ordered not to use the term “climate change” or “global warming” in any official communications, emails, or reports, according to former DEP employees, consultants, volunteers and records obtained by the Florida Center for Investigative Reporting.

The policy goes beyond semantics and has affected reports, educational efforts and public policy in a department with about 3,200 employees and $1.4 billion budget.

Following his speech, Khan was interviewed by HuffPost editor Lydia Polgreen, who at one point asked how we can be "better citizens in our global democracy" (and people wonder why Trump won!), Khan offered thoughts on Trump and his war on Uber. But the most telling moment came when the mayor stated that "As a former human rights lawyer, I'm a big advocate of free speech. This isn't about depriving people of free speech, this is about inciting hatred."

So to sum up, that lying, rancid, stinking, rotting, shitbag Khan wants to restrict speech critical of him and Muzzies because "hatred," but a ballon mocking Trump? All good.

I've been AWOL for a week- was on vacation in GA spending time with my family and friends. So many people there where I was were total Trump supporters. I saw so many MAGA signs, bumperstickers, hats, shirts....it was refreshing. That being said- I haven't been paying any attention to the news whatsoever. Glad I could come back here and catch up!!!

Brexit hasn't technically happened yet. The UK minister in charge of exit negotiations just quit a day ago...not a good look for UK government. Talks with EU have been ongoing trying to hash out the details. Seems like quite the mess right now. Little early to make anything of it.

Trump administration to dump Obama-era rule allowing unions to siphon Medicaid money

The Trump administration announced Tuesday it planned to end what it suggested was an illegal Obama-era rule allowing unions to Federal law generally prohibits states from skimming money from Medicaid payments bound for independent in-home personal care workers. But in 2014, the Obama administration created an exception, saying that states could divert some of that Medicaid money to unions, on the theory that these workers effectively were public-sector employees.

Eleven left-leaning states have used that provision to raise more than $200 million a year for unions by taking it from health workers who often didn't even realize it, according to top GOP officials.

Those states include California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, and Illinois -- a blue state which has been at the center of recent Supreme Court rulings stripping power from organized labor.collect dues from state subsidies intended for home health workers -- including family caregivers.

Trump has long criticized Berlin and other NATO allies for “freeriding” on Washington’s defense capabilities. Currently only five of NATO’s 29 member states actually allocate the 2 percent of their gross domestic product (GDP) to military spending that they are formally committed to as part of the alliance. Those five are the U.S., the U.K., Greece, Estonia and Poland.

Germany has given political support for a new Baltic Sea pipeline, Nord Stream 2, which will increase the flow of Russian gas to EU states. The project has been sharply criticised by Poland and others.

The US president also accused Germany of only spending "a little bit over 1%" of its economic output on defence compared to the 4.2% spent by the US "in actual numbers".

The Trump administration’s policies indicate it views security and trade as intimately linked. And when it comes to the trade balance, no ally will be spared.

NATO bends to Trump's will, says his message is 'having an impact'

NATO's secretary general agreed on Wednesday that President Trump's call for other members to boost their defense spending under the military alliance is having an effect, and promised that other NATO members would soon be chipping in more.

Trump was in Belgium Wednesday to keep up his complaint that other NATO members are "not paying what they should," and said it's an "unfair burden" to the U.S.

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg agreed.

"We all agree that we have to do more," he said in a joint appearance with Trump. "I agree with you that we have to do make sure that our allies are investing more. And last year was the biggest increase in defense spending across Europe and Canada in that generation."

"Why was that last year?" Trump asked.

"It's also because of your leadership, because of your carried message," Stoltenberg said.

"They won't write that, but that's OK," Trump replied, referring to members of the press.

"No, I have said it before, but the thing is that it really has," Stoltenberg said. "And your message is having an impact, and we are going to build on that to make sure that we have further increases."

Congress Renews Push to Designate Muslim Brotherhood as Terror Group

Lawmakers on Capitol Hill are renewing a years-long push to designate the international Muslim Brotherhood organization as a terrorist organization due to its support for terror organizations that threaten U.S. security interests across the globe, according to conversations with U.S. officials spearheading the effort.

The hearing is expected to set the stage for Congress to follow through on efforts that begun in 2015 to convince the Obama administration to designate the Muslim Brotherhood as a terror group following its violent, and eventually failed, takeover in Egypt.

Rep. Ron DeSantis (R., Fla.), the National Security Subcommittee's chair, told the Washington Free Beacon that U.S. policy has failed to address the Brotherhood's radical behavior and support for terror groups. Multiple countries, such as Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates, have already designated the Brotherhood as a terror group.
