The fact that this team missed the playoffs with THIS offense is a god damn embarrass

Didn't we know that it was a matter of time before before Rumbling bumbling Ridley fumbled? Cheats new enough to say bye bye. But **** we put him in a critical 3rd and two situation. That and the fake punt was some high level stupid ****.

Ben was great. We should have let Ben have more time if we were willing to do the fake. Ben didn’t fumble twice. I doubt he called the turtle ball run and asked for Ridley. We do not have the defense to stop a team like this with four downs. We should have let Oakland score sooner too, or at least stop the damn clock FOR BEN AND OUR OFFENSE.
 
We are the second best team in the AFC just lining up and playing football. Boneheaded coaching decisions, bad play calls, and inexcusable mistakes that *never* get corrected all year cost us what could have been a Super Bowl run in a wide open AFC. God I ******* hate this team so much. They are so much better than their record, so much better than almost every other team in the AFC. I’ve never been more angry and frustrated by a Steelers season. **** this whole season with a god damn railroad spike

Totally agree this was the defining moment of the game not the fake punt. To me the fake punt was just a gutsy call that didn't come off because I think in that situation you give the ball to Brees at any point of the field he was coming down and scoring.
 
Boy, this put a big damper on Christmas. Just a really tough loss and season ending loss at that.

I truly believe with 2:30 and two timeouts, Ben wins this game. The BOLD coaching move after the fake would have been to let them score quickly.

He gets a paycheck, asking him to hold onto the ball shouldn’t be too much to ask. He won’t be cut cause there’s only one game left and it’s Christmas but he won’t be back next year, that’s for damn sure.

So, we could have kept Dri Archer, and expected him to be a pro bowler because he was paid? Doesn't add up

That fake punt was a killer and that FG with 40 seconds left before the half was a killer. The inability to cover Thomas was a killer. I think we killed ourselves once again this season.

Hard enough to beat the best team in the league, add in a coach that seems give out free samples and make it harder on his own team and it’s a recipe for disaster.

It all started with the first game of the season...LOSS to the Browns (and yes, all you sheep reading this, a tie against the Browns is a loss)
Then to be ready for the playoffs, but barely beat a bad Jags team, then lose three AFC games in a row (two of which were bad teams, Chargers are 50/50)...that's bad coaching!
The fake punt call summed up the season...clueless, unprepared, wasted talent
Thank you Tomlin for taking a franchise down the drain
We are currently a laughing stock in the NFL
