Some other rookie QB's had good debuts. Mitch Trubisky looked good. Deshaun Watson looked good. We shall see what Dobbs has.

He does have a big head ( inside joke ), but when I view a photo of him on the field his rail thin legs scare me a bit. Can he hold up in the NFL?

The book on Dobbs is he can move a bit, he has a solid arm, but his accuracy, reads, and the ability to make the right choices on the fly are issues. I think he's too turnover prone. For example last year he had 12 interceptions in 13 games.

Didn't both of those guys play against 2nd and 3rd string def? Dobbs will be going against the ones....well 1.5s

That's a very good point. I bet Dobb's opponents as individual players / experience / starters will have more total experience than the opponents of the above named QBs. Don't judge to heavily on Dobb's overall performance but take note of some of the smaller windows within his performance. Decision making / footwork to set & pass / crisp hand offs / the "hike" count weather a hard, soft or silent count / the small things that add up to make the big picture. I don't see him totally amazing me or anyone else but this will give us an indication of where he is headed.

I'm saying 17-32 268 yards 2 TD's 2 picks on wobblers....He will rush for 34 yds....

I was impressed with Trubisky even if it was against 2nd and 3rd stringers. He looked poised and unfazed by the spotlight. I'll tell you who else was very impressive, Deshaun Kizer in Browntown. Still way too early to know for sure, but they might have actually done something right at the QB position for once. He moved them up and down the field like it was nothing.

Way too many yards. I see a messy game for the rookie. More like 8-17, 160 yards, 1TD, 1INT. 3 rushes 12 yards.

I hear the 4th string QB, Bart Houston has made some plays in camps. Let's see what he's got too.

Wasted pick IMO. We are drafting a QB in round 1 or 2 next year. Hope he proves me wrong but unless we go out and sign for a UFA QB to be our starter then we're going all in on an early round QB.

Dobbs is very athletic. to say he can "move a bit" is like saying a Ferrari has some pep. Dobbs rushed for 12 TDs last season - most for the Vols.

could you specify which days he threw those 12 interceptions? were they running concurrent?
just going on memory, but Dobbs' interceptions usually occur early in the game.

it will be very interesting if we wind up drafting Riley Ferguson.
he and Dobbs have history.

a sure bust

I hope Dobbs does well. I really wanted Lawson in the 4th and I hear he is looking real good.

What kind of history.......... Play on the same team / compete against each other as rivals / shared the same joint & hoe..?????

I guess that's one way to say it. He played in 13 games last season and each game took place on one day. So his 12 picks over the 2016 season in way did occur in 13 (non-consecutive) days.

Riley was at Tennessee for one season before blowing a knee, taking a medical redshirt, and then tranferring instead of staying and competing with Dobbs and Nathan Peterman

Lol took 3 years but he finally posted and it was to tell Coach he was an idiot. Welcome to the big time.

If I can see good decision making and improved accuracy I will be happy. Of course if he does that his stat lines should look pretty good.

Fixed to read, For example last year he had 12 interceptions in 13 games.

Sorry, a bit busy these days...

I think it was a typical Steelers QB pick. Take a flyer and hope and none of them have worked out. Id love it to work but very skeptical. See Tee Martin, BSP, Dennis Dixon and Landry Jones here.

I would rather have selected Nate Peterman with this pick.

coming back but nice scramble throw for TD.
