California is doing excellent. Their lockdown, mask-up methods have allowed them to lead the country in Total Cases, Total Deaths (edging out that other bastion of masked hope, New York), Active Cases

Visited Budapest some years ago. Wonderful city. Americans were a novelty in Hungary back then with Hungary having pretty recently emerged from behind the iron curtain at the time. We had a great time, met some great people. I’d go back to see how much it’s changed.

Many countries fared well under that ideology.
If the ideology worked, it would have worked universally. Hell, it didn't even work state by state in the US.

So what you’re saying is that mitigation failed in the country that didn’t have a universal strategy and left it up to the states. Agreed.
Silly Floggy. Of course that's not what I'm saying. The data is beginning to show more and more every day that those areas that DID NOT lock down fared equally to, if not in many cases, better than those that did lock down.
Our own states are evidence of that.
The more time goes by, the more data we see, the more that becomes plainly evident.
Lockdown/mask or not, COVID took its toll and those measures did nothing to prevent it. If anything, they elongated the pain we all went through.

i'll suggest that the lockdown order could have prevented some deaths - such as those in high risk groups.
those high risk groups have been pointed out for pages, but certain libs gloss right over those. those are the obese, elderly and people with underlying comorbidities such as lung cancer, lung disease, etc.
while this is not yet "over", we have a far better understanding of the KungFlu than we did when Pelosi was dancing in Chinatown. is the Rona deadly? of course. but that depends on the risk factors you take and your own personal hygiene.

Got my Johnson & Johnson vaccine this morning. Very efficient. Never left my car. Held at the Delaware DMV line and had all the vaccines and nurses inside the carport where they do car inspections.
I showed up at 9:15 and left at 9:55 even after the recommended 15 minute wait (which they were not really enforcing). Had about 200+ people helping out of which half were volunteers and half were National Guard.
No side effects so far. Don't feel different at all.
I just don't see the big deal. You guys should all get it. Chances of something bad happening are just so low it's almost negligible.

For all you poor, tortured souls who think Biden just came along and picked up where Trump left off in the federal effort in fighting Covid. That everything's remained the same, that Trump was doing a bang up job on this and Biden just took the reins from him and is now reaping the benefits.

Mask, small business shut downs, a lot of people now are struggling and living paycheck to paycheck. I don’t understand how you liberals can just sit back and think staying home is saving lives.
I’m not saying the virus isn’t real, but there is a point like all viruses we go about decreasing spread. That’s as simple as staying home when sick, covering coughs/sneezes and washing hands and ensuring disinfectant to contaminated areas.
Severely shutting down all ways of society to where it’s felt in a financial aspect is not a way to go about things

The fact that we knew last July or so that the Wuhan Virus was not any more deadly than the flu unless you have significant comorbidities and the DNC politicized the **** out of it. Destroying a whole bunch of small businesses and jobs for political gain is the scam.

So it's been 10 hours since my shot and now it hit me. I don't have a fever but it feels like I do. I'm cold and shivering. I have a headache and general aches all over. I'm pretty tired (I plan on going to bed very soon). Overall, nothing serious, but I want to be honest about what's happening to me, how long any side effects last, etc. I just took some advil and expect that to help.
Right now, on a scale of 1-10 (without advil), I feel about a 5 on the ****** scale. If I woke up feeling this way, I probably wouldn't go to work unless I was working on something very important or with a deadline (in which case, I would medicine up and just get through it). It kind of feels like that.
I will update everyone in the morning.
