When a climate agreement is presented that doesn’t exempt some of the world’s largest polluters, when someone proposes banning emissions instead of wealth transfer schemes like pollution credits, when leading climate change advocates don’t fly around in private planes and live in 10,000 square foot mansions, maybe people will take it more seriously.
Simply?
It’s simply not that simple if the aim is to stop climate change.

Sarge and OFTB stated it pretty clearly for most people, but let's assume that this is real, man-made climate change.

Anyone old enough to remember Pittsburgh in the 60's can acknowledge what can be done, although an entire industry was lost in the process.
I've lived in the Phoenix metro area for 45 years and it does get hot, hotter nighttime temperatures because the orange groves have been replaced with concrete. So, the answer should be the elimination of the human race?
I think that it pretty arrogant of man to believe that he can change the weather, especially when those calling for policy change aren't leading by example. The mayor of NYC telling everyone to set their A/C no lower than 78 while his residence is at 68 for example.
It also doesn't help the cause of climate activists by using scare tactics that prove untrue. We still have Polar Bears and Miami isn't under 3 feet of water, but folks like Al Gore are still living in luxury and became wealthy in the crusade.

it's been almost a decade since a Canadian mining guy exposed Michael Mann as the pFraudster of global warming, deep, climate change, and now our friendly coffee maiden from the shores of the Danube is making it popular again. With no sense of wonderment of how incredibly fuucking lucky he would have to be to experience a once in 20 millennia climate event caused not by asteroids or volcanoes but by a Bad Orange Man.

Circling the wagons? There are numerous studies showing conservatives are happier overall than liberals. I found your comment to go out and breathe the air humorous. Had a college friend that was raging about something on Facebook during Trumps first term. I suggested taking his dog for a walk along the beautiful North Carolina beach where he lived, deep breaths because everything is just temporary. He immediately unfriended me, a close friend all through college. I've never unfriended or cut off anyone from my life over political ideology.

It is interesting isn’t it? Liberals are so full of misery and rage at the fact that some people think differently than they do. I have liberal friends, I avoid political discussions with the most extreme ones, because I know they will only end up in a giant hissy fit. But I go about my days unbothered by the fact that they don’t agree with me on everything. Many of them just cannot let it go. As the old saying goes, conservatives think liberals are wrong, liberals think conservatives are evil. Has been this way for a long time, probably always will be. It’s a weird moral superiority complex. They can’t even fathom they might be wrong about anything.

I don't think climate change is a hoax, but i think it is very exaggerated. Removing forests and having billions of people / machines producing pollutants has to have some negative effect on the planet. The issue is climate activists resort to extremes and make wild claims instead of just being practical. I think humans should respect the planet more in general. It has to be a worldwide effort and not have some of the worst polluting countries have little to no regulations. Who wants to goto beaches with garbage floating around and nasty water.
