Basically Jerome is saying you (bell) aren't as good else where as you are here. Both Bell & the STEELERS need each other so get it done.

Nearly the same thing has been hashed out here MULTIPLE times nearing ARCHER status had all the threads been kept as one but that's why ARCHER, the running back, is legend around here.

Bussy is correct although he might be forgetting about that pesky salary cap.

I think Bell would not be as good on almost every other team. He needs our OL, QB and Skills players, without them, he'd have a tougher time.

I'm anxious to see how much Conner has improved, what Samuels has.

Lots of WR's and RB's have left over the years and were never as good elsewhere. Sort of the opposite of what happens with Pirates players who leave.
 
I still say sign and trade Bell to the highest bidder outside of the north. Fix the defense and life will be good again.

It's not a problem this year, any contract will drop his cap amount this year. It will be big for years to come though.

I heard Samuals has zero pass protection experience. So there is that against him. Hopefully, he is a quick learner.

Coach has never liked Bell from day 1. He liked some fat RB GB drafted the same year Bell came out. I forget his name though.

if both sides listen and bell stops playing the stupid ******* role, I want to sign a deal that sets the value for multi-purpose backs like him David Jonson, Zeke and Gordon, Since he has lowered his asking price I am sure they can get a well paid deal what his price now is then if they can pad 15-25% on top of the deal he turned down last year or he can walk.
The deal he turned down would of paid him 42/3, now settle at 45/3 for the first 3 years that is also more then his asking price, if he is serious about coming back at 13.3 then our side needs to step and seal it and work extra hard to get it done asap.

It's been 2 years. The song is stuck on repeat. I wouldn't even waste my time on it anymore. I think it's totally unfair to the team to have a guy skip everything then just show up to play not even close to football shape for the first 3-4 games. Do they get a discount for half *** work? I can only hope they have some gems that stand out in camp and preseason. I'd pull that tag before the last game and rework my new guys contract on the spot.
