T Suggs Out For Season

While I wouldn't wish an injury on any player, Suggs is certainly one I won't miss this season.

Hey, cheap shots are part of the game. I don't remember too many complaints around here when Joey Porter smacked an obviously injured Todd Heap, or when Hines leveled Ed Reed. Depends on who's ox is being gored.

Hate his team but the guy is a baller. He secretly wants to be a Steeler.

Don't like the player or team, but if you celebrate others misfortune it usually comes your way. If they can put a decent defense on the field they are a hell of a lot better talent evaluators and coaches than the Steelers have. No Nghata and Suggs should completely sink them, but some how I think it will not.

The have a very good group of pass rushers that work very well together. The defensive scheme fits their style - IMO, we're still looking for that in our defense.

I don't think we showed enough "all out blitz" packages in the first game - SEND SEVEN and force the QB to throw the ball up...JMO.

That hit on Bradford might have been cheap, but it was legal. I think it was a great reminder to some folks in the NFL that this is not college and the read-option is going to get your QB killed.

Exactly, everyone wants their qb to run around like it's sandlot ball, but when he gets hit, it's all 'Where's the flag". He's a runner when he's running, period.

It was bullshit. He knew Bradford had bad knees and went for them. He could have easily hit him higher and made a tackle(even though he knew it wasn't going to be a tackle). He had plenty of time to see the ball had been handed off. Instead he decided to do something that could have ended a career. Dirty and cheap. And evidently not legal since he was flagged for it.

The NFL came out and said the hit was legal, that the penalty flag was a mistake. You can't rough the passer when the QB is carrying out a run fake. If your QB cannot protect himself then don't have him carry out run fakes.

You could make the same arguments against many of the hits that James Harrison has dished out: "he could have easily lowered his target" "why did he have to hit him so high". Were you singing the sang tune when Harrison almost decapitated Colt McCoy?

Actually, McCoy lowered his head/upper body. McCoy said he shouldn't be fined.

But, to your point, no, don't like cheap shots.

I sometimes like to think that there is karma in this world...

and then I recall that Brady isn't out for the year with a red hot knitting needle through his testicles and I remember that there isn't any.

any karma? or any testicles?

No love lost?

About the Ravens, I can only say - I hate them but I do respect them. They play football as it ought to be played. Physical and dominant and whoever is left standing at the end has a shot.

I don't like it when they take cheap shots. Frankly they don't need to. They physically beat the living **** out of other teams for 60 minutes. Anybody who can stand in there with their best and take that beating and subsequently beat them deserves the win. I hate those ********,but I respect how they play defense. They grew up watching a team they admired and they emulated a hard-nosed physical defense and somewhere along they line they became more effective and efficient at it than the team they were modeling themselves after.

Now their coach... He's a weasel faced bag of dicks.

********.

Not going to miss anything about T Fizzle. So long!
