Surprise in the draft?

I could see somebody panicking and taking both Lamar Jackson and Mason Rudolph off the board before the end of the first round. I can also see teams overreacting to the Twitter "controversy" and Josh Allen sliding to the bottom third of the round.

Ya, like the Steelers. I seriously wouldn't be surprised if we picked either of them, depending on how things fell.

I would not give up that much.

They won’t but you know as well as I how expensive it is to move that far up.
I personally see them sitting pat at 28 and if Rudolph is there, they run faster to the podium than normal and he’s our pick.
Then in the second they pick their replacement for Bell.
I know, I know, we need defense but they may be ok with Davis and Burnett as their safeties. They have a good array of Corners and Jon Bostic upgrades us over what we had over the replacements from last year at Shazier’s spot.

LVE and Evans will most likely be gone at 28.

Good thing I’m not GM. You guys would be calling me every name in the book.

I don't mind Rudolph in the second round, but I HATE it for the first, we have too many needs. Hell, I'd rather take an outside pass rusher at that spot, or a running back.

For me the biggest surprise would be one of the top rated guards dropping to #28 and the Steelers making that pick as BPA on their board as a plug & play replacement for Ramon Foster, thus ignoring more immediate, bigger needs elsewhere.

Apparently, a parrot will be used to announce the Buccaneers pick...

Man I would pay money for someone to teach it,

'ackkkkkkkkkk fukin-queers"

Or you whisper the wrong draft choice.

Or fukkkkkkkkk godell.

Man so much entertainment there, come-ere Parrot.

Off topic but what time do you anticipate the Steelers making their pick? I have to coach basketball tonight.

A surprise I'd be ecstatic about is Da'ron Payne dropping into our laps. It's not gonna happen, but if it did, I'd be shocked and surprised in a very good way.

I know not viewed as a need. But I remember that Jag-off O-line getting the better of the D-line. One rotational D-lineman might do wonders...

For real?? That is late. I'm two hours behind so that's around 9 here. Should be home in plenty of time. Thanks!!

I am guessing off course but it usually lasts around 4 hours. 10 minute picks. Depending on how long it takes the card to go up, and trades. Could be short of that a little or a little past that.I am thinking somewhere within the 11-1130 time slot....

I predict we go Guard in round 2 make some heads assplode around here. Foster is a free agent after this year. Guessing they let him walk

We would pick a ILB/S/WR/RB/QB/TE/DT/DE/CB before they would pick a G in 2.

Well its my own uneducated guess. I can't see them wanting to give Foster a 3rd contract. Its cheaper to draft a replacement then to overpay for an aging player

I don't think they would have to overpay to resign him. If that was their want.

Man, you got that right and our luck the STEELERS pass on him for Randolf................

Salute the nation

My point being with the cap going up each and every year the players are getting bigger contracts and it behooves the team to fill spots with players from the draft so we don't kill our cap number. I don't think Foster is a great guard for us anyways. He's definitely replaceable.
