Every year, it seems, there is someone who drops in the draft or someone who is picked earlier than expected.

Aaron Rodgers slid
Johnny Manziel slid, too

Last year, Mahomes was picked surprisingly early

Who do you believe will be the surprising pick or the one who drops in the draft?

Tremaine Edmunds will fall out of the top 15, maybe even past the 20th selection.

Rashaan Evans Falls out of the First round.

and Steelers Take a fallen QB in round one.

Whoever it is, I hope they slide to 1-28 so the Steelers can scoop them up. BPA baby!

Yesterday, on NFL Network, one of the analysts (forgot his name) made a comment that the Steelers would be the surprise of night one and MOVE UP to take Roquan Smith...

I don't know what he was drinking or smoking but that would be a BIG SURPRISE that would kill the rest of our draft...IMO...

We did those things in the past when we moved up for Troy and Sanstonio.

Depends how far we move up to get Rowan Smith. 28 to say 10 would be too expensive for this team. We already are minus a 4th and 6th. We would have to give up our 2nd and 3rd at least to move that far and that is most likely not near enough to get Smith and that ain’t happening.

We will sit at 28, fly up to the podium in 5 seconds to make our pick who I think will be Mason Rudolph QB Okla. State.

That would make my dick hard.

If he falls to twenty and beyond we better be on the phones

I was thinking that, instead of draft picks, what player(s) might they trade to move up high enough to take Smith or Edmunds.

Could we trade our 1st and a player and a 3rd in next year's draft?

We best start praying the rats take Lamar Jackson or some other team before pick 28. Steelers liked Kordell and Tomlin liked Vick.

Yeah, that’s a good question. That’s not what we do but who knows what they’re thinking.
Our 1st and say Artie Burns and Vance McDonald and next years 3rd?
Burns can be replaced by Hilton or our 2nd round pick, and McDonald relieves some cap dollars.

One of the high ranked players fall & fall and eventually the STEELERS don't even pick him. When asked by a stand by reporter, the STEELERS are quoted to say "his head was to large" thus causing our one and only coach to START multiple threads stateing how important it is to get the right HEAD.

I, for one, fully agree on the right head is what is most satisfying!!!!!

All the LB'ers are gone by 28, Steelers select Rashaad Penny, RB, San Diego State. He is a legit talent, early second round material, but won't be there in the 2nd for the Steelers and the rest of the possibles - Sony Michel, Dallas Goedert, Josh Jackson, Ronnie Harrison, Mason Rudolph, Mike Gesicki - just don't have the ceiling that Penny offers. Bell signs tag right before start of the season, and Steelers entertain offers to trade him to the NFC for a 2nd round pick (better than the 3rd rounder they get as FA compensation).

Steelers then address the defense by taking Micah Kiser in the 2nd and Jesse Bates in the 3rd.

that's not a player falling, that's a reach

you have those two swapped in the draft order, no way Bates is there at our 3rd round pick

Colbert will take 45 seconds to submit our draft card instead of 30 seconds.

I would not give up that much.

I could see somebody panicking and taking both Lamar Jackson and Mason Rudolph off the board before the end of the first round. I can also see teams overreacting to the Twitter "controversy" and Josh Allen sliding to the bottom third of the round.

No way on Allen to the bottom of the third. His tweet wasn't even racist.
