Front Office:
1. Owner - Let the football people do the football work.
2. GM/HC - There are different ways for success. A team with a very strong GM can have a weak HC as a result and the team doesn't succeed. I do think an excellent coach can do more to overcome a weaker GM, so I'd slightly put HC ahead, but you need a pair that can work together.
3. OC - Only because the NFL is about scoring points.
4. DC - Just behind the OC for the reason above.
Team:
1. QB - It's a quarterback league. Since 2004, only Flacco and Foles have won titles while not being considered elite QBs.
2. Pass rusher - With passing being at a premium in the NFL, a dominant pass rusher is the difference maker on defense.
3. CB- It's pretty easy for the offense. If you can pair a great pass rusher with a shutdown cornerback, your defense can actually carry your team to wins.
4. LT - Got to keep the QB healthy.
5. WR1 - They may not get RB touches, but they are the impact players on an offense.
6. S - An elite safety can really make a difference in the middle of the field.
7. WR2/TE - You need a secondary receiving option to take the pressure off WR1. It just depends on how you want to build your offense.
8. ILB - Agree that a three-down ILB is a important position with all of the defensive packages with an extra DB in the lineup.
9. DE - A guy who can do it all will help control the trenches.
10. DT/NT - Again, I still value a defense that can control the line.
11. CB2 - You need three good CBs.
12. Pass Rusher 2 - They don't need to be elite, but rather competent.
13. C - I'm biased because I've seen nothing but great centers in Pittsburgh.
14. Athletic guard - I don't care if it's LG (Faneca) or RG (DeCastro), it's an underrated part of the offense.
15. RT - After watching bad RTs, you still want to keep your QB healthy.
16. DL - Whoever is missing on the DL goes here.
17. Nickelback - Again, you need three good CBs.
18. Starting S - I'll take one great one and one average.
19. G - The other guard position.
20 - RB - A great running back can transform an offense, but a great OL can make average backs look excellent.
21. ILB2 - Run stuffer is fine.
22. K - They put points on the board.
23. LS - If they mess up, it can have terrible results.
24. P - The Steelers have won Super Bowls with bad punters.
