Skipper needs to beat Chick out for his spot. They are not going to just give that position away, Skipper has to earn it. Its not like the coaching staff is intentionally keeping a better player off the field. That's not what you're saying right? 'Cause that's sure what it sounds like.

So wait, is beating him out totally outplaying him in the preseason? I mean except on special teams where he was never given a look


To outplay a guy you have to be given playing time to prove yourself...

You act as though we get to see how these guy perform on the practice field and in the classroom. Beating scrubs in the preseason means diddly poo when it comes to the real thing in real game plans.

When suggs is around, there is NO ugly duckling !

If he doesn't show then he a ******* loser just like every other fucknuts that breaks or no shows a contract. He isn't special enough with just teeth to be treated with white gloves at this stage of his career.

If memory serves me correct, Chick also played against scrubs during those same preseason games where Skipper was kicking *** in. There's no real reason to have Chick taking snaps instead of Skipper, except Tomlin likes him for some reason. Tomlin also feels vets won't make the mistakes a rookie will, which is true to a point, but considering Chick can't beat any scrub RT in any situation, you would think they would give Skipper a shot. But No, it's just like the Harrison situation - leave a guy to rot on the bench that might do better than one of "his" guys!
