I'm pretty sure Canaday wasn't at the tryout, so they need someone to get the punters the ball. I haven't seen anything in his game to merit being replaced yet.

I'd guess that it is because those Defensive players sitting at home are not signed somewhere for a reason.

A punter that performs better than Berry has so far should be easier to come by.
 
this week I hoop Butler and tomlin have scrapped the 2-4-5 or have made big changes like the 2 DL heyward and Mcullers and Tuitt asa OLB/MLB on the edge or lined in standing to come from the A gap. or insert 3-3-5 of

A few teamsa few years I think us and the packers and the jets were using 2-3-6, I think GB may have scrapped thiers Jets run multiple sets and looks. Would love to see us try to look at the Top D's like rams and Philly and try using of the looks they use. It would make Dupree useful when he doesn't jump o use how philly uses Graham. Watt should strictly be rushing rarely dropping only Fort of the LB should drop back not Vince or Bostic, these are thumpers can't drop more than 6-8 yards back in zone .neither ilb is meant to drop.
In the league a te or wr 30 yards chasing only 3-4 could probably stand a chance Luke K Kwon Alexander Darren Lee and prior injury Shazier and maybe Ogletree.


I saw heyward frustration and hopefully in the film room he and a few vets speak up that the calls are generating no rush and hey coach butler we need to try some different things. I would love to hear if Heyward Tuitt and watt stand and show the plays and how they generated no rush and changes are made. Glad to see big Dan playing but would like to Tyson play to create a 4 man DL set both cam and tuitt can play de and dt so a huge dl of Hargrave Mcullers Heyward Tyson and 2 LB Watt Dupree that is a front 6 that can push the pocket and generate rush.

Coach Butler emerges from the lab, and announces the exciting new game plan to generate substantially more pass pressure:

First, the "kick." No way the OL can block those ladies, err, pass rushers! May have to refine the kick, since the current scheme calls for 16 defenders.

Second, the "triple." Hand punch #1 fails? Hand punch #2 also fails? No worries, as offensive linemen will be STUNNED by the triple!!

Finally, the "fight." Aggressive, domineering, indefatigable. The Steelers are calling in these martial arts experts to teach the defenders how to win the hand battle.

The Lord will need to have mercy on opposing QB's and offensive linemen. I almost feel sorry for them.
 
So, did they pick a new punter? Anyone is better than Berry.

We should have kept Wile. 9 our of 10 coaches would have. He was clearly better in the pre season.

Another bad decision by the Tomlin man.

They do and the reason why they didn't keep Wile is a mystery. From what I understand, Berry is still on the roster and will not be replaced at this time.

One of Berry's punts was right at the sideline where the guy caught it. I think it was short, but the placement was right on. our defender was right there. Dude still ran for several yards. A tap would have put him out of bounds wehre he caught it.
