Steelers VS Pats game day thread

It took the nfl 5 minutes to determine whether that ball touched the ground or not... there was no way to know cause his hand was underneath... you have to have definative visual proof, not guestimation...

The call on the field was TD. You'll never convince me there was conclusive evidence otherwise. Cheated out once again.

Brown is done for the year - what difference does it make

He caught it, made a move and got a TD. If you can't see that you don't know football.

The issue is the go to the ground rule, which is supposed to negate a guy catching it in the air and losing it on impact out of bounds... but once you have posession and the ball is past the goaline him reaching should be the football move and it should count... if it wouldn't be a fumble it shouldn't be an incompletion

I feel confident about beating their ***** in the playoffs now. Don't care where we play. We need to start knocking Gronk around at the line though.

Definitely this.
If the defense can keep the pasty's run game in check, and bump the **** out of Gronk, they have it.
To take them in the end without your best play maker, and numerous chances to win. Davis' could've been int and the bullshit "non catch" gave NE the game. The Steelers figured out the blue print to beat them.

His knee was the on the ground all he had to do was break the plane with the ball like a running play right? The only way that’s not a catch is if he wasn’t on the ground and the ground caused the ball to come out maybe I’m wrong anyway you can’t get conservative on offense and beat Brady they put 6-6 290 gronk out as a receiver and we expect a little guy to stop him and the nfl expects players not to get hurt *** shazier broke his back hitting a tes thigh! Ne can’t win without cheating even if it’s legal.

he caught it as he was falling foward. if the play ends where the ball would have ended in the end zone, it's the same as if he were completely in the end zone.

Baloney. The catch was complete before he stuck it across the plane. He wasn't even close to still completing the catch.

If you pull it in to your chest with possession m, THAT is a possession which I believe James did. After he pulled it into his chest, all you have to do now is reach over the plain with a secured grasp and at that split second, that is a touchdown. Get the **** outta here

They've been in the bail out Cheatriots mode ever since deflate gate and the guilt due to the whining by Cheats fans. So they make it up by constantly bailing the Cheats out in critical situations in critical games.

. if it wouldn't be a fumble it shouldn't be an incompletion

no

That's the rule for running the ball..... when the receiver catches the ball it can't touch the ground - he never had it long enough - he was going to the ground when he caught it ............ if he fumbled it into the ez it would be an incompletion too

It was NOT a catch - you go to the ground you can't let the ball hit the ground - everyone knows that - seen it a hundred times - no whining

As soon as he made a football move... which he clearly did when he reached the ball over the goal line... the catch aspect of the play was over... at that point he is no different than a running back stocking the ball over on a running play.

The nfl will never change the rule so they can reserve the right to **** a team at just the right moment.

If it takes 15 ******* minutes to decipher an NFL play.. you're doing it wrong. Go w/the call on the field.. complete/incomplete and move on. This is not a slow motion game, yet comes down to analyzing blades of ******* grass and micro ball movements. Unfortunately... there's no where to go w/the anger and confusion as a fan. Suck it up and go away.

Before the Pats game winning drive Tomlin had DHB, Rogers and JuJu on the field for the big 3rd down play, no Bryant. Those 3 receivers can't beat press coverage and scare no one. Another loss on the POS Tomlin.

Dude, the Steelers won. End of story. They had it stolen. Don’t blame Tomlin they won

Doesn't matter Spike.
Either way 3rd seed at best.

I seriously doubt they win again this season.
Jesus we played our ***** off in this game. We will win out. **** it is Houston and Cleveland. This hurt but I think it show we can beat anyone.

No - he never secured it before falling to the ground, he never had it long enough - he shouldn't have reached it out like that before securing it in his possession

Right? The rules are so technical now.
The ball has to be at this angle, matching with this part of the arena to be a catch. All the while this replay is brought to you by pepsi

And maybe get the chance to go to NE where they'll go deaf from NE blasting **** into Ben's earpiece. Great.

Ben said he wanted to spike on last play but call came from sideline not to.

of course

Haley doing his best to **** things up.

2 ******* penalties. Including when Eli had a DB shoving him to the ground so he could tip the ball.

But, you know...

terrible play, on last play. But, game should have been over, in our favor, waaaay b4 that.

Down by 3 with 58 seconds to go, then the miraculous play by JuJu, then a couple of plays later the TD! Then the refs take over. Just for once I'd like to watch players play a game without the refs inserting themselves into it all.

We are Charlie Brown and the refs/Cheatriots are Lucy.

NE went from a likely 3 seed to a likely 1 seed on that play. BTW I hope someone is able to talk the Wigster off of the bridge before it's too late.
