The offense really isn't having issues scoring, though.I never said let's emulate the Bengals. I'm saying let's get a true # 2 in here and watch the whole game dynamic change. The defense will play well enough against most teams I think. We are way better than the Bengals D.
As crazy as it may seem, if they're going to make a major trade in-season, I'd almost rather the resources be used on DT or CB with the way the defense has been playing.
The thing that got me was why after seeing Ramsey get roasted several times would you not give him help?
Part of the problem was that the Steelers allowed the Bengals running game to look like the 1990s Cowboys. They had to move their safeties up a lot, leaving their CBs even more vulnerable than they already are.
I'm a little skeptical that both Ramsey and Slay are coincidentally washed at the same time. They haven't played well, but I definitely think there is more going on with scheme, preparation and adjustments that's causing what we're seeing in the secondary.
