STEELERS VS BUNGHOLES

I never said let's emulate the Bengals. I'm saying let's get a true # 2 in here and watch the whole game dynamic change. The defense will play well enough against most teams I think. We are way better than the Bengals D.
The offense really isn't having issues scoring, though.

As crazy as it may seem, if they're going to make a major trade in-season, I'd almost rather the resources be used on DT or CB with the way the defense has been playing.

The thing that got me was why after seeing Ramsey get roasted several times would you not give him help?

Part of the problem was that the Steelers allowed the Bengals running game to look like the 1990s Cowboys. They had to move their safeties up a lot, leaving their CBs even more vulnerable than they already are.

I'm a little skeptical that both Ramsey and Slay are coincidentally washed at the same time. They haven't played well, but I definitely think there is more going on with scheme, preparation and adjustments that's causing what we're seeing in the secondary.

Same ****, different year.

****-ing “No-Trade” clauses in contracts…….. !!!!

It wouldn’t matter, I’d trade (tomlin) to any team out there, including in division.

Anybody see Major League baseball movie ? the part where they took “Willy Mayes-Hayes” bunk with him on it, outside and off the premises……….. Think tomlin.

Baltimore fans want Tomlin for Harbaugh. Make it so, Dic

It’s all on Art…weak owner, weak coach, weak team

He’s the one that this comes down to at this point

Sadly it’s harder to move an owner out than the inept coach with the no trade clause

That is the reality of it. I just can’t see why Art 2 can’t see what all of AMERICA can see…………………….

A coach who does the least,….. with the most. Continous excuses, “player’s coach” zen master, salad.

After a little time to reflect on the inept same old sorry *** Steelers

Happy Groundhog’s Day!!!!

4-3 here we come and then .500 is only a game away, and we must remain in striking distance of the Tomlin line

Come on dude…just because Tomlin wanted to talk about the turnovers instead of his horrible defense after the game doesn’t mean you half to fall for it

You honestly think if we punted the ball down to almost the exact same spot Rodgers threw that first interception the defense would have stopped them on that drive?

How many points does the offense half to get Tomlins #1 paid defense in the league to win that game last night?
The second turnover was the difference in the game.

Honestly hanging any of this on the offense is like saying if Rodgers hadn't thrown any incomplete passes or Warren would have rushed for 10+ yards on every carry, Steelers would have won
I am not blaming the offense but it is a fact that we likely win if we don’t have that second turnover. We also likely win if the defense makes one more stop.

Tomlin plays terrible D, can't cover or maintain gap integrity, and is slow getting to the passer
I know when your spend your life as a professional victim blaming other people for why your life sucks it’s a foreign concept for you that when you’re in charge of something (head coach, manager, VP, CEO) everything that happens below you: ie your subordinates’ (assistant coaches and players) performance is your responsibility.

It’s ok I highly doubt you’ve held any of those roles so you wouldn’t get that.

Never mind in an interview after he lit the Steelers up that Chase said the Steelers ran exactly what the Bengals thought they would on defense, that’s totally not Tomlins fault either right???

carry on troll boy

Every opponent that plays a Tomlin team calls it basic, predictable, etc.

The players that leave echo the same sentiments and include the lack of coaching and development.

One constant remains…but it just can’t be the constant! Can it???

That’s crazy talk

when someone brings up Tomlin’s Thursday night win / loss stat, it’s a tendency to justify the out come.

JUST remember one thing, BOTH sides had the exact same amount of time to prepare.

The second turnover was the difference in the game.
That was dumb to throw into double coverage, but it was the 2nd qtr, the offense put up 31 points, scored the go ahead TD on their final drive (i'm not counting the hail mary as a drive). The defense got run over by the worst running game in the NFL and got thrown all over, the defense that Tomlin said can cover any team, no disrespect to the Bengals. Left the WR that torched them all day wide F'ing open on their final drive.
Every person in here would've signed up before the game for 31 points and 4 tds from our offense. Just like every single person would've signed up for 42 points and 5 passing TD's in the Jax playoff game.
Highest paid defense in the NFL for the 4th or 5th straight season.
A defensive Head Coach.
Several players on this defense including the head coach running their mouths about how great, how historic they are going to be.

This is all on the defense.

You think? Bengals scored on 7 of their last 8 possessions, 6 in a row.

Tomlin is a terrible defensive coach.

Most definitely so considering the defensive scheme hasn’t changed in eons, about the time Dick L. Left.

Scapegoats along the way, but the Tomlin has been the consistent.

Opposing players saying nothing changes and esay to play against………………

All makings of a horrible defensive coach & HC as to not finding solutions.

Ok forget the Tomlin stat and look at the overall win rate for the road team on Thursday night, it is abysmal. The home team basically gets an extra day to prepare which is huge on such a short week. I hate Thursday night games for all teams as a general rule.

2DL....the whole game. Never took away the run and didn't push the pocket. The extra DBs or LBs did not help and the Bungholes were never forced to be one dimensional.

Tomlin plays terrible D, can't cover or maintain gap integrity, and is slow getting to the passer

He said in the summer that his secondary could shut down any WRs, including the Bengals. They sat back and gave up inside leverage all game and got torched. He refused to blitz an immobile QB playing behind a bad OL. Queen said they weren’t expecting them to run the ball.

ALL of that is on coaching and preparation. Tomlin is a complete zero when it comes to those things.

Forget the Tomlin stat because he is EXTRA bad?
All road teams other than the Steelers have combined for a 47-59 record (since 2018) for a .443 win rate which is slightly less than the normal road team win rate. Tomlin’s win rate, now that is abysmal.

Couldn’t find a complete stat line but did find the records from 2018 on

Strangely enough the Chiefs, Bills, Packers and Eagles are a combined 15-3 on the road on TNF…maybe good teams don’t have a problem with it.

Unfortunately the Steelers just haven’t been a good team.
